View Full Version : Who still has their L?

Mine's been mostly sitting and not driven much for the past 1.5 years due to a bad front tire. I'm finally getting off my butt installing the clunk washers, new front tires, and alignment. I've driven it on the spare the past couple of days. Man I forgot how much fun this truck is to drive!

So, who else still has theirs?

If you don't, do you wish you still had it? I've thought about selling mine a few times, but I just can't do it :)

I still have mine. It needs a little bit of work on the paint, the front bumper cover, alignment and a new front tire.. just turned 60K on the clock.. not too much I would sell it for to get something else. but there are a few, its just that they cost a LOT more and the L has been paid for, for years.. and yep its still a blast to drive.. however, my DD is now a Jeep

I still have mine. It's inspection time, so I just pulled it out. Needs a wash bad. I love the sound of these things, that is for sure. I had considered putting it up for sale as well, but couldn't bring myself to do it...not yet.

I acquired a 93 Cobra for about 2 years and just sold it because it was a project I was never going to get to. That little thing was a bunch of fun, but it was time for it to go.

At present the wife and I are at 4 vehicles: Lightning, which spends a lot of time in the garage; our Tahoe, which is the family hauler; and the daily drivers are the Lexus RX400h and the VW EOS hard top convertible, which we alternate driving.

Wish I still had it, or that you could find a non-ragged out one for decent money.

Still got mine, a 2000, just ran it up to Illinois and back a couple of weeks ago. More miles than it has seen in last 4 years, but it ran great and got about 17 mpg at 80 mph. 36K miles now. Still gets a lot of attention and questions as many still don't know what they are.

you only have 36K on the clock on yours? wow, I was thinking that I was doing good at 60K.. thats great.. mine rests most of the time in the garage.. it really needs a new bumper cover and to be buffed out or a paint job..

Yeah, I have lived within 5 miles of work(now one mile), and many years of covered parking, so it gets driven often, just not very far and never in the rain, so really no age showing.

Nice. I always really liked Mark's truck. Sounded wicked with that Silver Bullet exhaust.

Yeah, it sounds wicked, a little too wicked for a 20 hour round trip to IL and back. :)

Still have mine. We have moved to NW Oklahoma. Now that the weather has been better up here, they seem to be coming out of the woodwork. I have seen 4 others and the town is not that big. Hope all of y'all are doing well in the DFW area.

We still have two... my son's '04 (that he bought from me) with ~44k miles on it, and my daughter's '00 (33k miles). I drive the Brand X vehicles in the family. Every time I go out and my son and I are pacing each other, I think he has the best looking truck in Allen. DSG L, lowered with Roush suspension. Timeless good, aggressive looks.

Again someone pulled up next to me in the parking lot at walmart the other day and asked if I wanted to sell. I should throw out a ridiculously high number next time and see if they bite :)

But then I would miss this truck...
