Still ordering parts. So far I have Manley 20cc pistons, Manley rods, Clevite "H" bearings, all ARP studs and bolts, Fel Pro gaskets, Cloyes timing set, GT500 oil pump and pickup, Navi water pump, stock block, bore and crank. Not sure where to send my heads to get them machined. I had 2 exhaust mani bolts break off and one has an ez out stuck in it. :icon_eek: The studs broke off on their own causing an exhaust tick. That's the whole reason all of this started. I have not decided whether I am going to do the full assembly myself, or farm out the short block to a shop and finish the rest myself. I read too many horror stories from all the local shops in DFW so might try it myself. Worse comes to worse, I blow up the motor and get a loan for a JLP long block :tongue:

Still drive my 2004 DSG every day now has 125K on it,on my 11th set of tires since new LOL.Runs/pulls perfect.Only recent problem was back window leaking in ceiling.

That's a lot to digest for now. Sounds like you will have a nicely built engine when it's all done.
