custom valentine1 mounting?

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good shop that can mount and hide valentine1 with remote display? want it to be a nice clean install. this isn't anytime soon though :)

I want in on this one.. so if you find someone let me know.. there is a post on F150online on this I think with pics.. but I dont want to lose the temp and compass though.. Yes, I do want it all..

I have V1 with remote that I installed in my truck, but I would not call it a really custom install.
Remote power module under the dash
Remote display on top of the steering column
Power cord under the A piller and headliner, standard phone cords and jacks.
Detector up high in front of the console.

Works well and pretty stealthy, and you can remove the detector an use it in other vehicles with the standard cigarette lighter cord.

Not really any thing to take a picture of: remote on column, V1 stuck to windshield up high. You guys can take a look at the next monthy

Yep...similar to my set-up.

I have 2 V1's, but all my cars are hardwired, just grab the detector of the windshield and go....no need for the cord :)

I am not 100% sure I would call a few dealerships to see if they would do a custom install? Or maybe Car Toys, if they do not ask them if they might know of anyone that might?

I have done about 7 concealed installs of the V1. I have one in the L and one on my bike. I can help you guys out if you want. It is kind of my passion. Mark#2, I saw your setup at denton, not bad. It is really eaiser than you guys think, the only hard part is keeping your laser coverage (not like it matters anyway, that de-do-de-do, means you are already a dead duck). Let me know if you guys are interested. Those shops are going to be like "whats a valentine?" and probalby charge you out the butt for it. I have been doing these since mike valentine split off from escort. As a side note, picked up an original version 3 as a collectors piece. They are up to version 8 now. If you already have the hard-wire adapter, V1, and concealed display(if desired), I will do it for arround $25-$35 depending on the setup. Let me know

I was thinking about using the 2way rearview mirror for the display that guy sales. I don't want to see any wire If that's possible. Mounting somewhere in the overhead. maybe small glass cut outs for the sensors to read. am i asking to much or this possible?

no. thats not too hard. you dont need to make cutouts for the radar. unless its metal the radar coverage will still work fine. It is just a wuestion of if youwant laser or not. let me research the 2-way mirror some more and I will get back to you. I also have a way to put it into a heads-up display in the windshield that I am still working on. I will let you know

what else can you put up there besides the radar detector ?? (drewl ) more interested in the HUD than the two way rearview mirror.

would like to have the laser ability too.

Its still in the development phase. I am having problems with it working in the bright texas sunlight. works fine at night though. I can project any illuminated item(gauges, LEDs, or in this case, v1 display) onto the glass. I am afraid that will be a bit more than $35:tu:
But the HUD keeps your eyes on the road and lets you search for the po-po quite a bit more efficently.
