I went to Kendall Ford over the weekend and they have two new 02 L's, one red and the other is silver, on the lot. The sticker is 33K and some change and the paper in the front window has it down to 28K and some change. Just thought some might like to know.

Holy s*#@. are you serious! where were these deals when i was buying this thing. what's up with the value of the L's. There are still several in the autotrader from 28-30 used. Oh well, reality is i guess the dealers stick you coming and going. i'll see what i can do with that good old "obo" thing. and if that guy really saw that low 28 in the window of a new L i wish he would have taken a pic, cuz that would have been nice just to see (if i didn't own one:( )

Middlekauff told me last week they will Xplan 03 Lightnings which brings them to about $29,800. FYI

Dan just sold his true blue w/ 8K miles for only 25.5K. RedBolt02 or whatever bought his 02 new from Bankston recently for cheap. At best you are looking at 26 for seomone that really wants white.:tu:

wow, that just makes want to throw a tantrum of some sort. here and my hopes were up after looking in the autotrader, but not anymore. they need to change the averages on the nadaguides and kellybluebook cuz they're WAAAAAYYYYY off. I hate to say it but my Trans am's held value better than this, i came out ahead on both of them, but this L is gonna put me in the hole it looks like, and i haven't even had a year

if you take you truck to Texan Ford you can 25,000 on trade in and get a hell of a deal on a SUV. I was up there a couple of weeks ago and they were going to give me 25000 for my 02 L and they were going to sell me an 03 Cobra for 31300 and my truck has 15000 miles on it. good luck

Buy a vehicle, Finance it and expect to "come out ahead" ???
Can you bring some of whatever you are smoking or drinking to the next TALON meeting ? :D

I buy all my vehicles at invoice or Xplan minus factory incentives and STILL get burned now and again on resale for a grand or two...
'02 L with 13000 miles, you'll get offers from dealerships around 23k. Less than that if they're having trouble moving what they have in stock.
Most dealerships here in DFW used the Kelly Blue Book "Fair" trade-in value.

Everything is taking a resale slump right now. One of my customers has a new 02 GT 6 months old 5K miles. Best trade in offer he got was 16K. Another just got 14K on a 01 LS1 Ram Air T/A from Carmax. Not a good used market now.

Yep... the Lightning is a vehicle you should only buy if you plan to keep. If you try to let it go you will be grabbing ankles. :eek2:

I think I will keep my Gen 1. It's pretty much worthless on a trade and if I tried to sell it outright I doubt anybody would pay what it's worth to ME. It's paid for so I'll just keep putting rear tires on it. :D
There is a Blue 02 at Freeman Toyota in Hurst and it's been there for at least a MONTH. I stopped and asked and it has 8k on it and they want $27k. I guess I'll be seeing that puppy waste away on the lot. Especially when the salesman are spanking the heck out of it every night after closing.
If I could find a super sweet deal on a 02-03 Harley super crew.... Well, I'm just dreaming now.
