Mind mentioning what they are charging? I called today about possibly getting a built block done by them....depends on how far along Speedworks is on the heads.

Wells does my head, machine work, I can assemble and R&R them. Of course I prefer to sell you a JDM long block with a 12K mile 1 year warranty:twitch:

i had a block built by them, and prolly the best head work i have seen. they were recommended to me by a friend who was friends with the owner. i have acutally talked to other people who have had engines built by them as well, and they couldnt have been happier either. i called them to see if they build modulars, and sure enough they do. i just go with what i know works, and the block i had built by them has stood up to 900hp and more witha 200 shot (1100hp).

1500.00 for my block and heads. From as many motors and heads in their office I felt I could trust them. 35yrs experience helped too. My Ford machanic is charging 600.00 for the pull and install. I could not go JDM longblock , my finances was not there. My truck would still be in the garage.
Oh by the way that spark plug that broke this time it bent a valve on its way out the exaust. The parts were bouncing around in the head and piston. Kinda beat up. The others I broke before exited quick, no signs of them. Thats the reason when detonation breaks a plug and its still running " your lucky" I was lucky 3 times.

JDM internals, bored .20 over, oil pump. Heads, valves from Fox Lake, ported polished, with helicoil inserts. If you don't get JDM internals your motor will be loud from the pistons and rods. It will sound like a diesel. I had to wait on the cams and springs. That would have been another 900.00-1000.00. The springs are tough enough for now. Its driving me crazy with no truck!:(

I know the feeling man. I should have mine back today. Going to pick it up from Speedworks....and then throw it on the dyno :burnout:
I'll post results when I return :)
