Terry how you going to break your motor in? What oil should I use? I know your not going to break it in on a 1/4 mile track. Well are ya? I just needed to know is syenthetic ok? Those pics of bearings on F150 got me pariniod!:eek:

I would check with Jim to see what he recomends. I use to run the cheapest non detergent oil I could find for a few hundered miles to promote ring seating. Varying RPM's and load w/ no long highway trips. Then Valvoline regular 5-20 for 3-6K before going to Mobil1. The only hitch is this Mod Motor crap with overhead cams. they will gall w/o good startup lubrication.

Talked to Justin today he said thay use a 5w30, I belive he said Castrol for 500 miles change it do it agian. And after 1500 thay should be set. I can then use systhtics .I'm still going to baby it for awhile. Poss. 3000 miles. Too much money to let a dollar bearing screw it up. Good motor building to ya Terry!!:nana2 :nana2
