The 2" looks good on older trucks, the 03's need a prayer the 3's barely phase them:hammer:

The 3 inch are the way to go. I went from a 2 to the 3 and I am happy with the difference.

I like the way mine looks with the 2" but I really couldent tell much difference until I got next to a stock one. But even then the difference is minimal. I would rather lean slightly forward than back.

If you come to the meet Thursday, I have a 2" rear drop on my 03. You can see what you think.
I like it, but then I don't much like the, Getto wanna be, slam and cram look. If you go 3" in the back, I bet you end up needing a 1" drop in the front to even out the profile.

Also don't forget that these trucks settle after a bit of time on the road.

Rocks:beer:

I just noticed your in Tn. I guess you won't be making it to Bonedaddys...LOL.:hammer:

Speaking of slam/cram...LOL...you going to Ennis Friday?
I have to test the new heat exchanger. Terry told me it would gain me 65 H.P. to the rear wheels. I know he wouldn't be playing me on this.:d

You guys can check mine out tomorrow also. I think it will be totally flat on a 01-up truck w/ the 3 inchers. I do have a 1 inch drop in the front and its perfect IMO.

So you have a 1/3 drop? That usually looks good. I saw a red Lightning cruising Plano about a year ago. He had to have had a 3/4. That truck was darned near touching the ground under it.

I may take you up on that. As far as fast goes...mine is not fast enough. "I HAVE AN UNCONTROLABLE NEED FOR MORE SPEED".

my only concern and i was going to see if you all had experienced that. My experience comes from engineering and my '78 jeep crawler. When you extend that shackle that much what 6" for a 3" drop your force on your frame is extreme. I have personally broke mounts when extending that much. by the way, i agree with no slaming your ride, jsut leveling off is what i want to do. don't look bad at me, just thinking to deep and using my degree to much i guess. Thanks.

I have a 03 L and the JL 3" shackles and the truck looks level. I had just put them on the Friday befor the Speed Works dyno day. An 99-02 would need to lower the front 1" along with the 3" shackles to sit level.
