Ok now I need traction. Whats the best slicks or radials and what size and where to get them? Whats yall's best choice of traction bars? Not noisy. And that will fit with my Bassani? Alot of questions but, do you remember my burnout at Hallsville that Dennis did not give me a trophy for? Help a brother out on his 60 foots!!

Hmmm....I think the best way to go is 16" wheels, cause you don't have to shave the calipers. And I think everyone is now using the Hoosier 28x10/16 slick. They also have a 28x11.50/16 also. Either one will do.

BTW, if you need some 16" wheels, I have some for sale.:burnout:

Doug seemed to have better traction when he chaged from Hoosiers to something.

I just switched a customer from Rancho style bars from Truck Tracks. I like the change in feel from driving it. I will let the customer determine improvment tomorrow at the track.

Kennedale T&T just gonna practice some launches on the stall and see if the bars grab some pavement. I think they open at 6pm start @ 630.

Yep, he had Truck tracks for a while and it ran great. Then we went with an Art Carr converter 2400rpm and all hell broke loose. The track tracks no longer worked:D So we upgraded to Rancho style bars and it feels better so far. The slicks and track will tell:tu:

Mark@LightningForcePerformance is running a killer deal on his Rancho bars for the TALON club. The hardware on his setup is much better than JDM's with regards to quality and durability. Give him a call, he can have a set on your doorstep in a day! His number is 281-385-5339 tell him Crawford sent ya.

I just got done riding around the block with Rob. Those lift bars are the ****zit! The feeling you get out of the hole is serious acceleration:bows Another great mod making a PR customer a little faster:beer:

Thats what I was thinking I should give Mark a call. I have seen the Rancho's, thay look tough. I'm still not sold on the converter (2400). I had one a time back, and returned it. I'm parinoid that I won't like the slippage in daily driving. I suppose I need to ride in a truck with one. I hate pulling tranny agian. Terry would just have to sell me on the idea. What you have sold me on Terry is your break package. I'm checking my funds now to see. I have been thinking about that for a week. Too many irons in the fire!:tu:

Tim, you have nothing to worry about. Just have your chipped burned to lockup your converter in 3rd and O.D.

Two reasons why you need a reburn.
1. Lockup in 3rd and O.D. will make your truck 100% streetable. No slipping = less heat = longer tranny life

2. You want lockup in 3rd and O.D. on the track...well 3rd anyways. When lockup occurs, your truck will actually loose mph at the traps, BUT you will have a quicker e.t. Reason being that is cause when lockup occurs, you can take advantage of all that torque.
