Hi I just wanted to say it was nice meeting some of you out at Ennis last Friday, I am already looking forward to doing it again. For my first night at the track and a completely stock 2001, I ran a best of 14.1 @ 97mph........not too good, but hoping to do better next time. Looking forward to meeting 03Lightningrocks next time and working on my 60' time and having more fun. Maybe the humidity will be down next time and that may help a little bit lol. But anyway it was nice meeting Andrew, Doug, and some girl who beat me in a mustang:flaming: lol. Oh well see you all next time.

14.1 is respectable on a stock truck, especially as the temperature rises. My best stock run in 70*+ heat was 14.5, and in the winter was 13.8 (@ <40*). Without mods expect that number to go up because these trucks do not like the heat. I'll probably have to wait until fall or winter to run my 12 (my current best is 13.08 @ 105), because I doubt I'll be able to break it now that it's getting hotter.

Anyway, moral of the story don't sweat the time...you're running pretty close to average on a stock truck.

i went 13.6 stock on street tires...trucks themselves very greatly just cut down your 60 foots and you should be running good. were you in the red truck?

Ditto what others have said re. your times/trap speed. My first pass down the 1/4 was at Ennis, and I ran a 14.10 @ 96.99 MPH. Practice, better weather, better track prep, and a mod or two and you'll be there. :tu:

My one run was only 13.2 Friday...

The 60 foot times were only 1.97 The humidity and the track both were not optimal

Hello - I was tryingto encourage the new guy... Thats what Club Founders do....

Thats not the first time I have been beat and wont be the last.

I pulled a 1.82 60 foot on F1's at 40 lbs of air at Norwalk....

So to restate.. For Street tires the track was not hooking optimally.

Did you pull 1.728 EVERYTIME Friday ?

You wanna post time slips ? :burnout:

Now if your talking about last Friday....that's playing dirty. The boy was just learning how to keep my truck on the track. But he did manage a 12.48...and that was using his secret burnout technique...LMAO..:roll

Some of the guys may be going in two weeks. I will be in Houston then so I won't be there. Make a post about it on the events forum in about a week and the folks that are going will speak up. I'd bet on Gavin being there. His girlfriend likes to race and she will drag him out there...LOL.

I will be in Bowling Green, KY May 1st through the 5th. My brother-in-law is hosting a Viper drag meet called the V10 Nationals. Its going to be a lot of fun:burnout: :nana2 . So I will probably be back in Ennis on the 9th.
