I'm planning on going too.
6er, when I examined Gorilla for all the "real" modifications, when someone else had your truck :), you had 2 chips in your glove compartment. What happened to them?

The Swanson chip has not returned from California and the JDM chip was loaned out and has disappeared (for now). So...... but looks like Doug has come to the rescue so I'm planning on being there.

Is this a 1/8 mile track? would this be good to go for me.. never done any 1/8 or 1/4 mile drag before? or should I go to Ennis first?

no, denton is much better to learn on. thats where I started. it is an 1/8. the track is better than ennis, ennis is just popular because it is the closest 1/4. denton has much better traction and is much more forgiving. come on over.

Crap! I was packing and realised my jack is at my parents house. I'm not going if I have to run on street tires. Is anyone going bringing a jack that I could borrow? Thanks

A big disappointment last night. Took the time and effort to go to the track and no track prep. Seems they didn't have any VHT. To make a long story short, I spent $10 to watch a bunch of cars slip and slide down the track. I decided not to even make a pass after going to the trouble of changing tires. Some of the guys made a few runs, but I personally thought the conditions were too dangerous to risk it. The hamburgers were good though.

Yes, What 6er said. I went to check out the new tires and the line lock. I decided that I would go down the track cautiously and still spun the tires in all gears. One run in 3 hours.
Sorry that I suggested this event. They do not have their act together.
