I think it is the week after FFW at Ennis. Would be cool to do both, but I'll have to wait and see. I've got some career options that may affect my ability to attend.

The info on the group rate hotel is here:
http://www.talonclub.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2352
I'll be registering soon, and I am considering staying at the hotel, depending on what the rest or the group that is going is going to do. If I remeber correctly, Dwight was at the BoneDaddy's shindig and I overheard him mentioning something about a seperate, manned parking area for the folks staying at the hotel (if I heard right). Sounds pretty good to me!

Before I register I guess I would like to get a feeling for waht everybody is going to do. Are we wanting to get into the Friday night barbecue, and of the drag events, etc? I figure I won't be drag racing, because if I break something I'm SOL and a long way from home. I may just hang out and enjoy the scenery, but I don't know. Any ideas?

I'm all registered now. I'll just being doing the BBQ and be spectating.
I'm still debating staying in the hotel or roughing it. I may have to bring my 20x10 party tent.

Looks like this thing has fallen to the backburner. We need to bring it forward. From the looks of it we have about 5 of the guys from TALON registered so far..what's up with that ?:Bullshit We should have at least triple that by now. Get registered and go out for a great time!
Also, what is everyone planning on as far as shelter while there. I'm still considering getting a room at the hotel that's set up for the event. Is anybody else doing the same?

I agree, I was starting to wonder about this. I am going to register tomorrow. I will probably be down for BBQ, spectating, and maaaybe a drag race.
If you want to split a room wherever, I am game BTW.

We can do that. With protected parking outside the hotel you can't go wrong. I'm going to the BBQ and drag race, but I had to register in a class to make any passes. T&T is not likely going to happen, so if you're not in a bracket class you may not be able to go down the 1/4 mile. I figure I'm not really interested in the competition...I'm just going to make passes for fun. If I make it a round or two, that'll be just peachy for me.

I think you'll probably have to pay for one truck, and two people for the BBQ, if you want to go to it. I'm not sure, so you may want to post the question on NLOC. That would be my guess, though.
Finally, a little life brought back into this event!!:bows

I asked Nan@NLOC about the people question. You register for the event on a per truck basis and you sign up for the BBQ on a per person basis. So, you only need to sign up once.

me, alpine, and 02bolt are going for sure. My question is, which may have been asked already but i dont feel like reading everything already written, do you have to register if you just plan on spectating? Doug, do you know?

Next question... what day/time and where is everyone wanting to stage and cut a trail out of DFW?
I'm looking to get out of Plano around lunch time and meet up near I-35. I'm thinking I-35 East/West is pretty much central to everyone and the fastest route up to Topeka.
Ronald y Elaine...

Jacob,
You do have to pay the regular price for your Lightning to enter the gate/track( BBQ Friday extra) even if spectating. All "friends" in the truck are free though.
