How do you keep it from getting stolen at the Appts ?

I can watch my bikes and truck from my window and I keep them locked. I have a great tactical firing position from my second floor balcony, but other that I am mostly just hoping for the best. The cops drive by at 20min intervals so that might help a bit......

Bikes get stolen from appts LEFT and RIGHT. The only way to keep them is a garage or parking it in the appt. Next best thing is to Kryptonite cable it to a concrete pole and run through the frame. I have a 5/8" cable that is pretty tough.

I think I am going to invest in one of those alarms that delivers a 100,000 volt shock to the handle bars if you dont click the remote first:evil

Yep! a garage was one of the main prerequisites when Laney and I moved down here with the new L.

The first brand-new '00 F-150 white Lariat (5.4 Sport) I bought was stolen in Tulsa after I made like 4 pmts on it. The Tulsa PD found it like a month later RAGGED-OUT. The perps put 900+ miles on it (the engine was a qt. low of fluid and the tranny lost a few pints the dealership said). The body/underside looked to have been off-roaded/run through trees/gullies HARD!

The inside smelled like the weirdest dope-smoking, etc, etc I've ever imagined. There were rap CDs, Halloween masks, fast-food trash everywhere. AND they left the flat-head screwdriver they prised up the doorhandle-bezel in the driver-side door map holder. They EVEN stole my driver-manual and spare change in my console.

That was my "first" '00 truck, then I bought the red '00 before the L.

I d@mn near sleep w/the keys/.45 under my pillow now!

And to top it ALL off now, we get a memo from the office about f#ckers breaking into the apt. mailboxes in the middle of the night! (apparently for tax-return checks). :throw::hammer::flaming:

Humm, one side of me says it would great to have a couple bikes like that. I can actually envision myself riding them.
The other side says, crap! With that kinda bling, I could buy a nice freakin' house with a 2 car garage at really low interest and prolly little if no closing costs ......
But again, that's just me ...

my life is way to undetermined to be buying a house. I am still a freshman in college and I never know when I might want to move. But, yes, there are much better ways to spend your money, I am certinally not the best example.:nono:

Andrew, that's BS. Even if you move the house could be rented out.
There is just too much happening now that it wouldn't be a "Win-Win" situation.
Think about your future , NOW.
Regardless ............ :hammer:

However, my sister-n-Law is familier with the "Ranch" in Cresson and I hope to get her to the next Talon meeting.
