This looks like a great Lightning resource so I figured I'd ask you guys...I'm really thinking about buying the Borla cat-back for my '03 L and I was wondering if there are any other brands that I should be considering?

Thanks ahead of time

Avoid the Borla cat back like the plague. It has small intercooled tips and sounds very gay, enough said:beer:

For what it is worth do 2 40 series flows . Very affordable and they sound way better than stock and sound kinda deep untill you get on it. imho You don't get too much of a gain on the L with exhaust.

I also vote for the dual 2 chamber flows.. Im currently running straight pipes just cause i was tired of the stock can. Im gonna be putting dual 1 chambers on soon.

Keep in mind that exhaust (especially a cat back system) buys you only one gain...sound. You will not likely see a HP or torque gain, and if that's what you are looking for, your money will best be spent elsewhere. If you're looking for sound, Bassani has an awesome, but expensive set up. I personally have the Magnaflow twin bullets that L8 APEX put on and love it. Enough blast to freak people out as you blow past, but minimal drone to keep me and my passenger from going insane while driving under normal conditions!

Thanks Tom....I didn't expect a gain with the cat-back really but just wanted something that was a little more prodominent than the stock. Thanks for everyones input :D

Tuna's prefered shop does great work. Sound bite of the dual Magnaflow system.

I have the JDM silver bullet:
It's a Bassani X-pipe with two separate straight magnaflow glass packs and it all stainless. Good quality and self installable. If you do alot of highway driving it might be a little to loud for some.

Why burn money, Just buy a couple straight thru flows with some 4in. pipe from the muffs back some stainless tips and theres your cats back. think about it!:tu:

I could do that.....I used to have Dynomax Bullets on my last truck and they were about as straight through as you can get
