I realize the mathematical / probability in #s.. but, we're seeing them EVERYWHERE !
The way down in/from IL/OH... used truck lots north of Okmulgee, OK next to dumptrucks... driving Hwy 75 in BFE Oklahoma... even my younger brother said there was a black 2nd Gen. around Madill, OK last summer.
Not to mention all the ones running around Plano/Frisco. There's a black '01/'02 L whose front rims are almost as black as his paintjob! :eek2::nono:
A little background, we "chose" this place b/c when we saw a resident's 01/02 silver L in the parking lot. A week later... a silver '00 L showed up also in the lot.
Now, tonight! We're biking around the apt. complex and Laney yells at me. It's a white '00 L to add to the mix !
Oh well... I still have the time I saw 5 eight/ten point whitetail bucks walk out in front of me in a "bachelor herd" during bow season.
How's that that for "Vegas" odds ?!? :d:nana2

It's just a matter of location. I rarely see another L. (other than Terry's broke down one). :evil I often go a month or more without seeing another one.

That's why I like the Gen 1 so much. It is kinda like when I bought my 99 and you hardly saw them.
I would like to see SVT do a L's by zip to see the numbers- seems like there are alot in my neck of the woods too.

They are limited in production only by the number of people that buy them. :evil

HA! I saw a white '01 L headed south on Preston past Spring Creek on the way home from work today.
I flashed the lights/waved and he waved back. Cool !

Interesting, I only get waves back from about 40% of the L owners I see. Most of them dont even see me or they look at me like I am a nut. Ah well...

Somebody break down # of L's per production year. I know there were 2280 Gen 1's in 95. Who has the other years numbers?

I am not sure exactly where the DFW metroplex falls in terms of total population in reference to other metro areas in the U.S., but keep in mind that it is in the top ten.(In other words, there are an assload of folks in this here general vicinity!...So it's going to seem there are an assload of "low production" vehicles) The Gen 2's have been in production for going on 5 years, which puts somewhere around 20,000(and counting)of them out there. On the other hand the ZO6 Vettes have been in production since '01, and I see A LOT more of them than Lightnings. I have also run into NUMEROUS people that have no clue as to what an SVT LIGHTNING even is.:hammer: Still, there is nothing like nailing it, hearing that blower WAIL at full song while 500 plus lb/ft of torque THWACKS you in the ass, all Hell breaks loose and said ZO6 is left with his jaw on the ground and a wormseye view of your TAILGATE!:burnout:Anyhow, just my 2 cents worth...

Also, Texas is just kinda "truck country". If you're going to get one, why not get a Lightning.

Speaking of tons of Ls on the road, when I was in Tulsa in '00, I saw this '99/'00 red L with the lower 1/3 of the body painted GOLD !
I d@mn near ran off the road in HORROR when I saw it! :eek2:
But, in '00/'01, Laney and I saw a Mystic L in OKC on I-35 at speed. Looked sharp!
