Vegas ... Tips ?

Ronald and I are VEGAS bound!
No not our wedding. lol for all those smarty pants! ;)
We're leaving not this Monday but the next Monday (28th)

I need Vegas tips!

What are the cool places to go sight see?
Cool places to eat?
Cool places to hang out?
Cool places to shop?
Also, any places "not" to go?
Help me out all you Vegas go'ers.
I need the tips and tricks.
I'm going to attempt to make enough to get my own Lightning. LOL
AND by the way, we don't need to know
where any of the "balet theatres" are located.
We'll be with his parents. haha!
I have nickels saved up for 1900 games. LOL

One suggestion....set aside a certain amount of $$ for gambling...once it's gone, go to dinner and forget about the casinos. You won't believe how much cash you can lose if you get crazy.

I've been to Vegas a number of times. I don't know that there are really any cool places to eat. To me they are all the same, but we've eaten a fairly good amount of Prime Rib from the Hotel San Remo across the street sort of from the MGM Grand.

New York, New York has a nice shopping area that's kind of an old town New York. I thought that was a lot of fun just walking around in it and it's at the same end of the strip as MGM.

Caesar's Palace, although not one of the newer casino's has some nice stuff to just walk through. Large Statues that move and put on some kind of free show and you can shop in some of the more famous stores in the US. It's located in the center of the strip.

The Mirage and Treasure Island which are next to each other, and not far from Caesar's offer some sights. You can catch Siegfried and Roy's white tigers which are always on display. Treasure Island has a volcano which erupts at night.

Make sure to visit the Bellagio if you are in that area.

Circus Circus at the other end of the strip has a lot of free circus shows going on all the time and is a great place to be if you have sub-18 year olds. They have tons of video games, a roller coaster and all kinds of other stuff. Casino's around that area also have cheap givaways like free pulls on a slot maching, free popcorn and stuff.

Personally I really enjoy just going from Casino to Casino to experience them. Each one is very different than the last, and if you get tired of Casino Hopping, there's other stuff to do there like the Star Trek Experience, The Coca Cola place, The M&M place, a water park, bunji jumping and the list goes on and on.

Don't miss out on the downtown casino area. The casino's are ok, but at night, they really put on some cool shows on a curved roof that is kind of like a giant computer monitor that runs the length of the entire street. The show is free, and I thought it was kinda cool. You might see Elvis or Marilyn walking around that part of town too.

The city is much more active in the evening than the daytime. Daytime is for pool and sleep while nightime is made for having fun and checking out all the lights.

I'd go back today and do any of that again.
