O.K, I have my new Herb's washers and need the part numbers for the NAPA cam bolts. Is there just that one for the front left lower arm, or do I need all four if I plan on lowering later? I know Steve and Mark have done this...just need a little refreshing.:tu:
Thanks...Scott

The washers go with the stock lower rear control arm bolt. The cam bolts go in the upper front and rear bolt holes. The number may be on SVTLightnings.com how to's. It is the standard F150 cam bolt kit you need one for each side.

Scott,
No need for cam bolts to do the herbs washers. You use the stock lower A arm bolt.
And IMHO the Ford cam bolts are much better quality than the NAPA. I would try to find the genuine Ford cam bolts if you can.

Scott,
Let me know when your ready and I'll be glad to help- about a 45 min job tops.
The NAPA part number is 264-2943- your need 2 of these (packaged 2 per box for a total of 4). Bolts are bolts if you want the Ford ones get them I personally don't think it makes a difference.
Couple of tips if you decide to do this yourself. Make sure the factory locking clips (1 per side- 1"x2" piece of steel) gets removed from the frame side when you pull the old bolts out. Sometimes the frame wax is so thick you don't notice that it is still there and it sticks to the frame- if those are not removed the tech will not be able to sufficiently tighten the new bolts down to keep the alignment.
Also take some brake cleaner on a rag and wipe the control arm surfaces down where the bolts and nuts make contact to remove the frame wax so the bolts can be tightned properly.

Later-Okay, I'll talk a little smack.:)
Bolts are not bolts.
The NAPA bolts have about ~30% of the diameter cut down to get the cam washers to slide on to them. The Ford ones have the washers built in and do not remove ~30% of the material.
I agree with all of the other installation recommendations.

Scott,
After seeing the pics of the Ford bolts they are more substantial although I have had no issues with my NAPA bolts in over 30k.
Here are the Ford SKUS for the bolts:
F652-3B236-BB (camber bolt-need 4)
F652-3C178-AA (camber bolt end washer-need 4)
Mark knows his chit- after all he has a patent:tongue:

Went to break the nut from the bolt, and WHAM!!. Just about broke all my fingers, the stupid bolt was already loose!!. Thanks to Mark and Steve for the info:tu:. Only took about 30" to do. Now I have a few other questions.
1. This is for the Anal Patent holder:tongue:. What is the torque spec.on that bolt?
2. Do I need the Chamber kit to do a stock height alignment?
Thanks!!! Scott

1) I'll check when I get home.
2) Not required, but it makes it much easier for the alignment shop. Some alignment shops may state that it is required but if they have the correct shims it's not.
