Exhaust will not get you any HP/torque gains on the L., so the only reason to switch exhaust is for sound, and/or tip appearance. With that in mind, Terry (L8Apex) does a couple of different systems which are very nice.

I had Terry put a system on my old truck, but I believe that you gain a little Horse Power/Torque

I have the Bassani headers and cat back system with X-pipe and stock cats...sounds nice, no gain on the Dyno.....BUT....the 3 1/2 tips from Terry look considerably better than the Bassani 3 inch tips and are less $$$.
Reguardless of what you choose to add, go for a sound that you want as they gain nothing ,and any of them look better than the stock "ground pointing" POS tips that come stock on the "L" :hammer:
"Hi, my name is Wayne and I have Tip envy"... :eek2: :rll:

In fact.... If you just happen to decide that you absolutly must have the over priced and "undersized" Bassani cat back system...mine is available...conviently priced at the replacement cost of the PR Bling Bling 3 1/2 set....
(Tip envy must end) :hammer:

What about Mac exhaust? Is it any good??
It really boils down to personal preferance.
I have not heard of too many using the Mac on their "L's".
IMHO, dollar for dollar, Terry's set up is hard to beat...:bows

What about Mac exhaust? Is it any good??Mac is a cheapo aluminized steel Flowmaster rip off chambered muffler. They rust heavily after a month and drone like a 5.0 Mustang with dumps. Mac is a Stang part company, not nearly what a L deserves.
Here is a mild system roughed in

Wayne, have you looked at the rear transaxle of the Porshe? It is a dirty leaky biatch. I may hose it off so you can drive it and tell where the leaks are. Porshe's are like Harley motorcycles they mark their territory:D

IMO, you are best off with one of Terry's exhaust systems.. he uses high grade parts and you have a custom exhaust with the very best parts available at a price that cant be beat.. so you may want to listen and look at a few, but his advise is golden..

Monica,
JDM has a full exhaust for the L, BUT, it's highly priced. About $1800! This includes jet hot coated full length headers, cats, 2 side by side mufflers, and polished tips. As the other guys stated, the Hp/Tq gains are minimal especially if you're not looking to drag your L. I personally am looking at a cat back system with side by side mufflers for a bit more aggressive sound. Terry (L8apex) does have a set up like that and his prices have always been reasonable. You can always shop around at the other mfgrs to compare. Hope this helps??? Good luck! Cya.
