Just wanted to to say Wazzup! Met Doug last week @ Pier 121 and chatted for a few. Looking forward to the next meeting. I really want to learn alot about going faster (More HP!) I am new to the Ford product line and am anxious to learn about the engine in particular. I have read sum posts here about how upgrading exhaust does not increase HP? how is that? Not any at all over the entire RPM range? (talking headers and catback combined) What about Camshaft for the engine? How many are there in the L? Is there 1 in each head? Anyway its totally 100% bone stock right now, but investigative research is underway!

Welcome...fastest color too:tu:
To shave your first second is less than $1K...from there it is almost $1K for each 3/10ths.
The stock exhaust is good enough from a power standpoint, most change the cat backs for sound...others change the headers only to find little (0 in my case) RWHP increase.
I have the Bassani headers and cat backs and gained 0.
Best bang for the buck...chip, filter, lower pulley, plugs.
Catch up with our resident Tuner (L8APEX - Terry) he can answer your questions best.
Again, Welcome:beer:
NX doesn't hurt either:evil - so far:confused:

Before you let your mind run too far down the "MOD" path, make sure to ask yourself if you are prepared to void your warranty...that may make your decision a bit less taxing:hammer:
BTW, I think MOD stands for "Method Of Destruction":rll:

My new moto, "One of two things I can break...records or rods"...bound to be one or the other sooner or later.
Wonder if anyone has tried to have a "Blown" Porsche. I have seen the Turbo's...personally, I would rather be "blown":twitch:

no replies about the camshaft question?

no replies about the camshaft question?16 valves only require a single camshaft per head. The Navigator motor is 32-valve and thus has two cams per head. There have been some guys thinking that maybe the Navigator heads would fit on the Lightning motor and they will, but there is not enough clearance for some of the other parts to fit back on the motor (that's just what I heard). http://www.fordvschevy.com/forum/images/smilies/dork.gif
