Hello,
Im looking into the possibility of changing the motor in my lightning. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience in putting a jet airplane engine into a lightning. I would perfer to have one from a late model jet like an f-16 or perhaps from a joint strike fighter. I would like it to be rear engine so I will have more traction in the bed. I have been looking on ebay for a jet engine but i cant seem to find one that I like. Also, for those of you who have jet engines in your lightnings, what kind of times are you doing at the track? I am also interested in what kind of dyno numbers you are making as well. I assume you must use a special dyno equiped with a large fan behind the jet engine to measure the horsepower output. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Andrew Quant

most of us have heard of turbo lag.these have a slight lag at the start and must we say end. to leave on a good light,in drag type events aprox.30sec.to 1 min.lag on the leave.on the other end of the event 1-to aprox. 2 min.hang time.but on the other hand the time in between will be a rush to say the least.:throw:
