What # pulley is the safest to use on a stock 2000 motor I was thinking a 4# would be good, I have a 4# and an 8# to choose from a friend.:hammer:

The 4# pulley is a good all around pulley. My L went a 12.37 @ 109mph (12.37@109mph) in good air and ran consistent mid 12's in 70*-85* air. IMO an 8# pulley is going to generate TOO much heat on a daily driven truck. Go with the 4# and a properly tuned chip, you'll be happy:tu:

it also depends on the manufacture . not every pulley is the same size depending on who manufactured it . a #4 from one source can be bigger or smaller from another source .
but as rob said the #4 is a better daily driver pulley.
