Just an update for you Texas guys on Go_rila's little "Sister."
I am running two fuel systems on the truck with the stock tank being pumped with a frame inline being fed from a 255 L/H intank going through a filter, a one way check valve to a NOS "Y. That is the Street system. The Race System is a 3 Gal Pro Stock Fuel cell with a filter, a Weldon pump, a oneway check valve to a NOS "Y" and then trough #10 lines to a Y block that splits off to #8's to feed the rails. #6 lines take it from the rails to an Areomotive Pressure Regulator and from there through a #8 return to a two way selector valve that I can control from inside the truck. The selector valve, determines which tank gets the return fuel! Each system is turned on or off by its own power switch. This may be too complicated for Sixpipes to drive!

Here is a picture of my spot in the shop at Idle Wild Racing. I have been working here on my truck for the last two weeks and we think it will be fired up for the first time at the end of this week.

Here is a picture of the "War Room." I will be running a Weldon 2025A Pump pulling fuel from a 3 gallon Pro Stock fuel cell and going through #10 lines to the rails. We will be running a 75 shot prior to the intercooler with the NOS system for those hot days.

This selector handle selects whether the fuel cell gets the return of the race gas or the stock tank gets the 93 Octane.

I am thinking you may as well cage the thing so we can turn up the boost. Besides, it may be street legal when you're done, but it is a race truck at this point, right? http://www.fordvschevy.com/forum/images/smilies/naughty.gif

Lets see -

Fuel Cell - CHECK
Twin Fuel Systems - Check
Blown 8 cyl motor - Check
2 Nitrous Bottles - Check
Race Tansmission - Check

Yep its a race truck.....

I'm thinking tube frame front end, back-half it with a 4-link, tub it, cage, race seat, 5-point harness, and replace some steel and glass with carbon fiber and lexan. Just trying to help.:)

 Well, Baby Go_dzila was born today! It is somehow fitting that today a low pressure system blew into Florida with high wind, rain, and very stormy weather on the very day that Go_dzila came to life. It fired immediately and was running a little rich which was taken care of temporarily with a Pro M Optimizer. The last time the trucks "brain" was working, it had a stock blown motor with 19 lb injectors so we will begin the long tuning process and work with the stock EEC if we are able to.
Thanks for all the suggestions on tube frames and carbon fiber everything but this project got way out of hand and I will have to be buried in this thing. Sixpipes will be doing the "serious" driving at FFW and a Roll cage is not totally out of the picture.

Here is a picture of the two check valves and the NOS Y. The bottom valve is the #10 Race system and the top is the #8 street system. Both systems are joined together at the Y and then the fuel is carried to the fuel Y block. This set up is mounted on the right frame rail and should be plummed up tomorrow. The two pumps will be controlled by a single On_Off_On switch. One on position being the street system and the other on being the race system.
L8 APEX, I am sure you already know what will happen when I kill power to the street system and switch to the race pump! We will be killing the ground to the street system.

Too coool bro!!

I am wondering, when you go to race from street, how is the computer, NOS, etc going to know you are going from 93 Octane to 110 Octane?
That is a trick ride!!:nana2 :nana2 :nana2

Well Bro, even though everything is switchable from inside the truck, this is not a switch on the fly setup. I will drive to Orlando or Atlanta on the street system with the chip selected to the 93 Octane position and a milder tune. At the track, I will select the fuel cell return, arm the race pump, and switch to race position 1 on my chip and put in some high octane stuff and go racing. If the big boys are still beating me up or if it is very hot out, I will switch to race position 3 for some NOS pre intercooler! Sixpipes will definately need a check list to drive this thing! :rll:
