Did any of you go out to sanderson's in carrollton today for their Grand opening? They are building the new Shelby continuation cars. The ones they are doing now look like Elenor in "gone in 60 seconds".
The place is pretty impressive, you can see cars in various stages of being remanufactured. here's the web site - www.sandersonsales.com and an article www.classiccar.com/articles/carroll_shelby.asp
the cars are a bit high dollar for me. But they also don't haul a Yamaha in the back, so not much good to me either.

My wife and I went out there... It was pretty impressive... most of the guys headed up into North Plano Frisco area at Chucks for the car show there. The guy with the F40 told me he hit 170 on the Bush Turnpike. Not sure I believe him.
When we left the Sanderson's some guy in either a vintage or replaca Cobra got a little wild... hit a dip on Valwood and got airborne... hit the light post 3 foot off the ground... it was not a pretty sight.
I got some pictures of the GT500E's. I've never posted pictures here but I'll see what I can do...

:eek2: Arrrrrrrrggggggggg.........
I've got a couple rarely used body parts that I would give for an original Shelby Cobra.
:bows
But, the pricing is outta my reach as well. We can dream, though.

Not sure if it was him or not since I don't know him. He is 52 years old grey hair about 5'11". He did tell me he had more than one Ferrari. One was a boxer flat twelve... I've riden in one before and it is an incredible car.
