I have finally worked out most of the bugs in the new Gallery software

Photopost went on sale so we bought it. Your Membership dues HARD at WORK.
Photopost has lots of new features and is easier to use for uploads.

The new gallery is at http://www.svtgalleries.net (http://www.svtgalleries.net/)

I have removed the old gallery. All your pictures should be in the new one.

I changed some permissions around and put some limits on the KB of pics that can be uploaded. Banned memebers had rights to upload an infinite # of pics....

Let me know if it causes you problems.

I am glad to be finally past the upload errrors. I have seen a bunch of pictures get posted this weekend so I know it os working for some people.

I plan on doing a few more tweaks once i get the rest of the pictures moved over. There is a hack somewhere that will copy the URL of the picture to your clipboard with the push of a button - Ill add that one when I get a chance.

Testing the gallery this evening. Created a Private folder and uploaded some pics.
Can't see that gallery though, even logged in. Unless I go to Gallery AdMIN.
Using pics from the gallery in posts, are we specifing a URL to them?
Maybe I missed a previous explanation on this. :hammer:

You shouldnt have to create a folder you can just upload the pictures to the members gallery - the system will organize them for you in your folder based on your login name

I never used the personal albums feature - I just reset the options to let you see link to your smiliey album when you find your member gallery ---

Found 2 pics for you here - click TALON Member Galleries (http://www.svtgalleries.net/gallery/showmembers.php) then your username

Hi Doug,
The Galleries are asking me for a Password to get into my smilies gallery. However, I'm already logged in and all the passwords I use don't seem to work. :confused:
Did the hiccup from this morning mess something up?

This forum requires a password for access!

When trying to upload to that gallery:The file you uploaded was not an acceptable format.: bling.gif

I'm just guessing here, but it seems the system has created it's own password for that gallery. It's definately not the same one I use for TALON or the main Galleries login. :(

Nada ...... I can see Album Admin now ......
Deleted the old Smily gallery and created a new one.
The system link is passing the user as well as a password ..... to a new link.
But still can't get there.

He has gallery and an album they both have one image...

Can't access it if it's marked "Private".
The URL with password I sent was not generated by me. Seems the system assigns a password to a Private Gallery ....... as shown in the URL.

I'll just leave it be as it stands now. No worries.

I tried uploading a GIF file to the Galleries and get this every time:
The file you uploaded was not an acceptable format.:

Are Gifs not allowed any more? :confused:
The file size was about 2kb.

Well - Im stuck .. If I set the gallery to accept gifs then it breaks other stuff..

I am working on a better solution but for now gifs are not working...

Trouble is I have forgotten what breaks when I turn gifs on....

Delete the svtgalleries cookies

And then make SURE you are using the MIDDLE login on the gallery

I am waiting for Logan to get back from the great white north so I can steal his code to fix the upper logon
