Well I've been jonesing to try out my new line lock for the last week or so. So despite my tranny giving up on me earlier this week(Thanks again Terry.), and the sh!tty air conditions today, I figured...what the hell, I wanna go racing TODAY. I wasn't expecting to set the world on fire due the 80* temps, and 90% humidity(in FRICKING November!), but I figured if she'd get close, I'd be happy. Well close she got! To the tune of 11.994 at 113.16mph:nana2. The slip read as follows....

60'......1.656
330'....4.905
1/8.....7.624
MPH....89.64
1000'..9.997
1/4....11.994
MPH...113.16

Two weeks ago, out at Kennedale, in 69*, 60% humidity she turned a 7.491 at 90.69 mph, so if I could just get some good cool (50*-60*) air, she should go a solid 11.7? anyway. At any rate I'm pleased to say the least. To top it off, Ron hooked his Autotap up to my truck to see how much advance JLP had tuned into the chip. So with ALL the weight back on the truck(Snuglid, tailgate etc..) and Drag Radials back on....I eased 'er out of the hole(1.87 60') and she commenced to run a 7.92 1/8 at 90.03 mph, and 12.305 at 112.45 mph in the very trim I run her on the street with. I was damn near as excited with that as I was the 11 second pass!

So all in all, despite the crappy air, still had a great time. Thanks again Ron for your help, Dr. Peppers(they're on me next time) and letting me use your Autotap. Hell of a way to spend a Saturday!:tu: Sorry 'bout the novel...just a bit excited I reckon. Can't wait 'til next Saturday...supposed to be in the 50*s...FINALLY!:burnout:

It was fun Rob. I got so darned exited, standing by the launch area, I started jumping up and down hollering my "HELL YA's". It took me a minute to realize I was the only person within 300 miles. Where the heck where all the people today?????????? I felt like a fricken idiot standing there all alone.

Come on guys....lets see if we can't get a bigger L crowd out to the track one of these times. Let's take that darned place over:banana: .

Nice run Rob. Glad I could see your truck loose it's 11 second virginity.:evil

Same ones as FFW...2lb lower(ASP) w/ 3" upper= 15.5psig at 5200rpm (shiftpoint). The boost begins at 12.5 at initial WOT, then builds to 15.5 right at shiftpoints. I'm scared to take it any higher than that.:crying: The current combo seems to be working well thus far. I'm leaving some ET on the table by having the shiftpoints set at 5200 as opposed to 5400-5500, but I'd rather give up a couple tenths than a couple rods.

kenHe is running a Diablo chip supplied with the KB. It barks them off the line a little nothing too bad. He hopes by leaving some on the table the motor will hold up. He has it shifting early @ 5200 and a streetable tune. I think it is a good compramise.

Ken,
Being that there were very few people at Ennis yesterday, the track prep pretty much sucked!:hammer: On the 11 second pass, she spun a little out of the hole, but still cut a 1.65 60', so she hooked pretty well.
As Terry mentioned earlier, I'm running a Johnny Lightning Diablo flip chip. Ron's autotap showed my "hot" program to have 16.5-17.0 degrees of timing advance at WOT, which coupled with the fuel curve is yielding an A/F ratio of 12.2:1. Which is aggressive, but not overly by any means.
I made it abundantly clear to him (JLP), that my motor still retains its stock internals, and I have every intention of keeping them intact. So we have the shiftpoints set at a decidedly low 5200 rpm, in an effort to keep the stress on the rods down. I could have the timing advance increased and shiftpoints raised and drop another tenth or two off my ET at the same boost level, but I'd rather compromise a little, in the hopes I won't be picking up my rods up off the tarmac instead.:eek2: Ofcourse there are no guarantees, but that's the game we all play. At any rate, I'm ecstatic with the performance of the combination. That SOB pulls its a$$ off for a 4800lb pickup! What fun!:burnout:
