I never have used or sold Gatorbacks. You can order them through AutoZone but they take a while to come in. I just use Gates belts in all my trucks.

I don't see why you are slipping and others are doing fine. I am ordering belts Monday as I am about out now. I have a few 2# belts and 1 HD 6# belt. You will want a 685 I believe. Nobody stocks 8 rib belts local.

Im basicly stock besides exhaust and airbox mod, and im having a good amount of belt slippage. You recomend or have one for stock pullies?

It just can't be slippage especially on stock setup.. The only slippage I hear is on decel or after a burnout stops. But that is good slippage like a waste gate.

I had slippage with 4#
It was evidenced by a buildup of belt dust on the pullly cage
New belt solved the problem

Nobody stocks 8 rib belts local.my belt is too old and worn out. when i took it off today I got a nice pile of belt dust in my hand. i think it is slipping cause its worn. i am dropping off at about 12psi and thats not normal for my truck. it has been slowly getting worse for the last 3 months.

But that is good slippage like a waste gate.i think you meant blowoff. wastegates vent exhaust to regulate turbo rpm and exhaust pressure. blowoffs vent intake pressure from spinning turbos that are still spun up when no boost is needed. so, where am i going to get a belt? my belt says carquest on it and "gates". there is a carquest shop in garland. i would expect they would carry their own products.

It happens then and sometimes when i get close to the 10lb mark (on a cool night and cool days) on the stock gauge and my autometer boost gauge.

I have the stock belt from mine if you want to trade. it might be better. not like I am ever going to use it. but I do need A belt just incase. also, ford should have it for a stock pulley.

Kool. Burleson is growing up fast. I wast thinking about moving out there but traffic is almost as bad as arlington now. But as for the belt im not to worried at this time about the belt slipping. Only time i realy get on it is on the way home on the highways and on weekends. Besides i never get challenged to races around here. .

Besides i never get challenged to races around here. .me neither. I actually get a big kick out of watching someone in my mirrors coming up fast, weaving in and out and when they get near me they act cool and drive normal. They want to be sure that I dont think they are trying to race me:evil . haha its great. anyone else get that alot.

I get that all the time. They will try and catch up to me like they want to race till the see that im not just a regular truck. Ive had the L about 6 months now and have only had 2 good races well they were races.
One was a t/a that always made fun of my Honda Si till i hung with him about a car lenght back. Then he laughed when i got my L and said its just a truck. Well he saw how much of a truck it real was. He saw the tailgate the enitre time.
2nd race was a allwheel drive tubo talon with some mods. He said i jumped the light at a intersection. I was like no i reacted faster than you, besided your all wheel drive and i was spining all the way under the bridge and was still pulling on you. He didnt say much and his g/f just laughed.

yeah, i raced an awd turbo talon too. his was modded out the yinyang too. one of my most favorite races/wins. just incase anyone is interested, i went over the 15psi mark on the gauge today with the new belt. the extra 3 psi is NICE. maybe now I wont be so crazy rich.
