I have never heard of them, yet again I am not a city boy either. What kind of environment is it?

I have another suggestion.....Puglsey's Library. I like that place.

It is kind of like Bennigans/Hooters. You can eat inside or outside. Kind of like a sports bar/grill. Blue Goose is the same but with Mexican food. Lots of scenery.

........ big Hooter's in downtown Dallas.....??? :D I like your pun on words there Justin.
Are you telling me that I'll need blinders to keep my eyes in their sockets or that the building is larger with more parking?

The problem with Greenville is that parking is very limited and is usually pay parking. For that reason I dont think anything down there would be good for a truck club type of meeting. Great places to hang but not a good fit for us.

I think we should all meet over at Dougs, get drunk, puke all over the floor:vomit: and then trash the place.

We could bring in 10 or 12 strippers, everybody get naked and just throw our inhibitions to the wind.

We don't need everybody naked....that just would not be a good idea. :vomit: . I would be forced to gouge my eyes out if I saw any of you guys naked.

I think I've suggested this before, but I'll do it again....what about some of the places out in Addison? There's plenty of mini-breweries and other places to hang out.

Or I could be a little selfish and say Hooters in McKinney.....!!!

This may not be such a good idea. If you gouge out your eyes, the last visual your mind could conjure up, could very well be Doug in a speedo!!!:eek2:

There is a Humperdinks, Chili's, Don Pablo's, Outback, Bennigan's etc.. etc.. at the intersection of Loop 12 and NW Highway. This is a good central location for everyone, and there are no issues with parking.

The distance is not so much the problem for us, it's wading through 5:00 traffic on Central or 635 in order to get to Richardson in time to hang out and visit with everyone. There is no easy way to get to N. Dallas in 5:00 traffic.

A centralized location enables everyone to spend more time hanging out, eating and shooting the breeze and less time fighting traffic. It's that simple. Why does this have to be made so hard? OK I'm done. I don't mean to come across like a little b!tch:crying: , I just know that I enjoy making those meetings, but have been forced to miss a lot more than I've made, because it's too hard to get to N. Dallas in 5:00 traffic. Just asking for some help.

Thanks,
Rob;)

Jeez, The "big" Hooters in downtown is sounding better for all involved .....
Assuming they have the parking and "secuity".

What about the Indoor Cart Track at 35 and ???? I know that makes money more involved in the situation, but I think I remember reading that this has been done before.

After reading Derrick's post on the other thread I got to thinking about maybe someplace near Grapevine Mills mall, or maybe the Hooters in Irving off 183 (I think). That's pretty centralized, yes? Biotch of a drive for me, but hey, I'ma justa making suggestions.

Yeah, we used to meet there way back when. That's where I met you the first time. Makes it very accessible for us Tarrant folks.

Neighbors protest plan for topless club

Group wants business on Walnut Hill Lane to remain sports bar

09:07 PM CDT on Saturday, October 11, 2003

By SELWYN CRAWFORD / The Dallas Morning News

Enough, already, say some northwest Dallas homeowners. Upset by what they believe is an abundance of sexually oriented businesses in their neighborhood, some Walnut Hill Lane-area residents are fighting plans to turn a nearby sports bar into a topless club.

About 20 residents, led by Sharon Boyd, who ran unsuccessfully for a City Council seat in May, picketed Saturday in front of Pugsley's Library on Walnut Hill Lane.

"The residents don't want this, the businesses around here don't want this," Ms. Boyd said as she carried a picket sign reading, "No More Sex Clubs."

"This is a ... neighborhood with lots of working-class people and lots of children," she said. "We don't need any more sexually oriented businesses."

A sign at a side entrance to the property gave notice of plans to place a sexually oriented business there and identified the applicants as Club Silk.

Representatives for Club Silk could not be reached Saturday. Employees at Pugsley's declined to comment.

Some of the picketing residents acknowledged that at least four other adult businesses operate in the vicinity, but they said that those are on side streets "out of the way" of heavily traveled areas, not on busy Walnut Hill Lane.

"We do have lots of sexually oriented businesses out here, and I would hate to have this place saturated with them so that I no longer want to live here," said protestor Tonya Luikart, who lives in the Bradford Estates neighborhood. "For Dallas itself, I'd like to see fewer sexually oriented businesses."

It's kinda like a sports bar/grill(burgers, salads, seafood etc...). Plenty big and a nice place. There's also a Joe's Crab Shack, Pappasito's, Pappadeaux, and more. There are just all kinds of places to eat/hang out over there (Loop 12/NW Highway).
