Doug,

Happy Birthday ! I'm only 6-7 behind you.

As I try to look at the bright side of getting older, remember.... if your not getting older, you're dead.

Keep up the good work! You're certainly appreciated in the TALON/L communities

Doug,
Congrats a day late. I hope that this really is mid-age for you(and me both). Another Scorpio,

You might think that you're moving in the right direction, but one little mistake could put you entirely off course. Unusual minor details have a way of cropping up when you least expect them and even the tiniest glitch could send the whole system into failure. Taking precautions is the best way to ensure that there won't be problems farther down the road, but it's important for you to prepare yourself for the reality that nothing is foolproof.

Mark

Nope, but I know a wise, older gentleman who says it's not the years, but the miles.

Go for an MRI tomorrow. If it's torn less than 50% they'll prescribe physical therapy and time. Torn 50% or more, surgery.

Good luck, I would almost prefer the surgery, they are pretty good at fixing stuff now. I have lots of stuff that was fixed. Surgery is scary, but better in the long run IMHO.

I feel the same way. Let's repair or replace the broken parts rather than just hope they heal themselves. Must be the mechanical inclination.

Okay, good luck on it being really messed-up, now that we have officially high jacked this thread... well at least Doug can know what he's in for PT, surgery, etc. :) I have a wife that's a nurse, a sister that's a physical therapist, and a sister that's a optomotrist, so they ought to be able to keep me going for a little while.

Later,

Later,
Markyeah the old timers are passing along the experience of years.. :rll:

Jesus - give me a break we are all within about 5 years of each other or less.

Plus between the miles from the intoxicants of youth and the diabetes I know tooo well about the issues of getting old..

How many here go to see specialist every 3 months ? And have for 15 years ?

Anyway, Doug welcome to the 40s:beer:
