K & N Question

I have a 03 L which I've had for three weeks now :D. I would like to put a K&N air filter on it but I've researched several sites and can only find the filter and not the entire FIPK kit. Before you read any further, remember that I'm new at this.

Will the K & N air filter fit on the stock intake? Do any of you use K&N? Advice would be appreciated.

Andrewi suggest you just go ahead and buy an intake system from terry, psp, JL or jdm. or if you want to save a buck or two, buy a used one from ebay or another owner.

Can you help with the acronyms? What is psp, JL and jdm? I assume they are manufacturers?

I like the Johhny Lightning system and will call Performance Research in the morning. I may just have to think about the Magnaflow system also and kill two birds with one stone. Isn't this fun??

I've been in the background for awhile reading this site knowing the day would come that I can also play. I know that PR and Terry are strong contributors to the cause and I will give them my business. I will call PR in the morning and work out the details.
