Terry, I talked to your guy today and he quoted me 399 out the door. Does this sound right. I could have swore you told me 300. Just checking before I get it done.

Adam,
Are you sure you want to put that spray in liner in a Lightning?
Are you going to be hauling alot of stuff in it?

Serious, a good Line-X job, if done right, looks nice with the smooth, clean edges.
I've heard you want to make sure and get the 3 coats in the bottom and 2 on the sides, etc.

Well I've seen a few with the spray in and a few with the bed rug and I've got to say I like the bling factor of the spray in with the SVT emblem. I'm already scratching up my bed when I put the jack and the slicks in the back. I really don't haul that much but I like being able to if I need to.

I've had both plastic and spray on and there is no comparison.

Go BedRug! It is da bomb! The ladies dig it (no truck bed humps in their back;) ), and you can sleep there comfortably in the event that the wife decides to kick yer sorry ass out of the house. What could be better than to be prepared! :rll:

True, but there's not much "thrashin' room" in a L bed...
But, on the other hand, better "traction" with a BedRug and it's washable. :tu:
Another vote for BedRug here.
This thread is going downhill in a HURRY ! :D :rll:

Our Lightning group rate was 300 per truck, he should negotiate with you, just work out a good cash price with him. He has done several of our trucks through the years.

Call him up and tell him your gonna send over a customer. He already shot me down. And yes I will pay cash.

Could you guys post the contact information for the bedliner installer? I'd like to get one done as well but I don't know where to go.
Thanks guys,

Maybe he will do it for 300 if we both get it. If not I guess I'll just get a bedrug. My bed is all scratched up from hauling my slicks and jack.

My line-x has about 5 coats on the botton and tailgate and maybe 3 on the side. Its THICK. But i would have gone with a bed rug but insurance paid for the spray in so i cant complain. It looks like i sprayed armor all on it to make it shiny but it might be because it never sees daylight.

If you get spray in definitely go with Line-x. I had Rhino in my last truck. it was softer, and was chipping.
on the L, My line-X was starting to look like crap. It looked faded and I have spots from teh bike. Then I sprayed that tire cleaner stuff, think it was armor all. It really shines that baby up! the SVT logo looked good again, too!

I guess there is one drawback to a spray in bed liner and I found it out after I noticed my bed was not lined up straight. I was going to have it straightened up and Ed (body shoop man) said you should have done it before the spray in liner cause we will have to mess it up to loosen the bed bolts. Soooooo my bed is still a little crooked but no messed up bed liner.

My LineX dude pulls out all of the fasteners lines it then puts the bolts on top of the spray in. I can take them out anytime without messing up the bed. Those companies that cover the bolts in spray are morons:hammer: .
