Well it had to happen and today is the day. I am putting up the L for the winter. I went and washed it, waxed it, did the wheels.. then I filled it up, put in the fuel stabilizer first of course. I will disconnect the battery and then she can sleep for about 3 months.. While I will miss driving her, the Acura just isnt the same, at least I can console myself that I am not racking up the miles and that she wont be out in the cruel, cold, salted environment.. Although I am told that they dont put out salt except on the interstate and usually only the overpasses.
Sleep tight and dont let the bedrugs bite....

Well, I happen to like the heat index. The hotter the better.

They should break ground to dig the basement tomorrow. We went by and they had all the sticks in the ground marking off where to dig for the basement. We hope to be in the house sometime in April.

The weather here has been great since I got here.. There hasnt been any snow to speak of. Although, I know that will change, December is when most of the snowfall is for the entire year.

I like the cool weather, it makes the L run faster.

Mark, how do you like the sound of those new brakes?

Dana,

Quit your b#tchin' ! :D You can KEEP all that Great Lakes snow and cold. We've had our fill from our last bout with it.

Canada's about 100-200 miles over my shoulder and behind that lighthouse over the horizon.

There hasnt been any snow to speak of. It said its poss. for alittle on Wensday in the area. I'm leaving Texas on Tuesday so my plane should be fine. My truck will not run on rain ,there's no way it would go anywhere on ice. Everyone that has a car in D.C has to have a compact or you can't park it. So my truck will go in the garage for winter also. I have never put it up for winter, thats funny. Yall be safe in P.A. and I will be near ya being a yanky too!:tu:

I am a little sad that it has to have the rest, but instead of it being a lemon, I plan on making lemonade out of the situation. It will get a rest and keep miles off of it. If I was in the house, which I will be this time next year, I will take the opportunity to get out there and go over the truck in fine detail to detail it and do any work that is needed and will have plenty of time to do it. Who knows, maybe I will dynamat the whole cab, or double check all the bolts or detail the wheel wells and the wheels.. I have another car to drive so I am fortunate. Its that time of year to stay inside but thats ok too, since I will get summers back.

Cheers,
Dana

Dana,

Just messin' with ya' ! :tu:

Are you putting the L up on jack-stands so the tires won't get flat-spots over the winter duration?

I've heard that's another thing to guard against over long term storage.

I have heard positive and neg about doing that. The garage that I have now is so sloped it would be almost impossible to do it.. so I will overinflate them instead.. :D
