okay, i finally did it. I was able to have enough self control to mope arround in my truck for a whole tank of gas, just to see exactally how many miles I could get out of it. the test session also includes 2 burnouts (one which was long enough to completely fill the entire jiffy-gay fag-lube garrage with white smoke:evil ), three 0-100mph blasts, alot of sitting in traffic during rush hour and 30sec of over 100mph driving. the majority of the driving time was under vaccuum, below 40psi fuel pressure, and under 2300 rpm, yes that means under 70 on the FW.:( I ran in my "economy program for most of the time and the mods that might effect the gas mileage are as follows.
1. 6# pulley
2. eFan and cobra r wp
3. fresh air induction
I went through 21.5 gallons of gas (full until "low fuel" light) and got 271 miles. that rounds to 12.6mpg. not too bad for a 450hp truck. who said you cant get good mileage from a daily driver. I could have come close to 350 miles if I had done without the agressive driving and I let it use the remaining 4.5 gallons in the tank. I will have to try it on the race program next time to see the difference.
