Hallsville will be back open on the 3rd and I'm planning another pilgrimage. Anyone that wants to go is welcome to come along. Track is open 11-5. They run a full tree and also can set up brackets for us if we get enough L's. Post up if your thinking about going.

I'm going. I need some L time. I pulled her out of the garage for the first time in two weeks today and only for about 15 minutes. I need to get out more often

Maybe if the truck isnt torn down (which I think it will be). Hate to tear into it without all my stuff ready to go into it. (still waiting on the heads)

It would give me a chance to test my new suspension setup.

I wouldn't mind meeting up for the cruise out. I was planning on leaving by 8 A.M. though. Is that too early for everyone?

I know where hallsville is, but not the track...

8 am is so early, i'll have to set a record to get up that early :rll:

Doesn't it only take 1.5 hours to get there?

I think it is more like 2 and a half to three....but I always like to get to the track early for engine cooling time and tire changing time. It is real nice to be one of the first few down the track before it starts getting slick out there.

Hallsville uses old tires to drag the track and VHT is a rare sighting....LOL.

Sounds like it's just going to be us 3 going. I'll meet wherever ya'll want to. Somewhere off of 635 and 20 I'm assuming. There is a McDonalds right off 635 we could meet up at. I think its either Bruton or Lake June Rd.

There is a burger king at Oates and 635. On the East side of 635. Which is next exit north from "Hooters/town east blvd". Its maybe a mile or 2 north of I20/635 mix master.

Thanks Rob. I am a bit concerned over the temps keeping it from happening. If it will stay in the low 60's I will have a better shot.

Wish you could make it.

Happy New Year to you too,

Where are we gonna meet?

Also, I'm a noob, what is typical gear to take? Helmet? Air Compressor? :bows

I would also like to load my truck so I don't get my rear end vibration at higher speeds. So if you guys have any equip that won't scratch my bed or slide around, load me up.

Hey Sayle,

All the mentioned should be brought. You probably wouldn't get crapped on at Hallsville anywayfor no helmet. They are pretty forgiving out there. The guy who runs the track feels it is silly to give guys in street rides a hard time for racing stuff...LOL.

I just bought a safety loop today. What's it take to install it? Is it something we could do at the track tomorrow? If not then I wont bring it.

I sure wouldn't want to try it at the track. You would need to lift up the truck for better access.

I will have basic hand tools with me, if ya feel like laying in the dirt under your truck....LOL.

See ya minana

Tis all good, we waited for about 15-20 minutes. I will post more accurate info later tonight or tomorrow with video, but I ran a consistant 13.7 ...

I ran 12.8's. It was about 100% humidity and about 75degrees. We had to wait a few times while a brief drizzle passed. No personal best for me yesterday. On a side note Sayle did let us play with his truck with the predator. It got him his best run of the day at a 13.6 on a hot lap but he did get owned by a girl. (beat you to it Ron)

No 11 this time. I ran a 12.16 and a 12.19. My son took it for a few passes but has gotten out of the driving habit since being at college. He seemed to find a way of screwing up both his passes:hammer: . I was counting on his weight reduction to get it in the elevens. Maybe next time.

The temps stayed pretty much in the low 70's, so I guess we all did pretty good for that.

Wish you could have made it Tim. It was a god time.

Gettng beat by a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rll: :rll:
I'd be embarrassed.
