Anyone know what it takes to install a floor console in the 2nd Gens? I noticed the guy in the current issue of MM&FF has one, and several others as well, but what is the console out of?

that's an expidition console in MM&FF...you can find Rob and his truck on the NLOC site under the Show Trucks board "I got your billet right here" or something like that is the thread

With the Navigator console, do they come in the same colors? Does it fit in that small area without having to remove the center 3rd seat?

That is the point of the conversion is a full console and two buckets left..

Hmm... So how do you get rid of that center seat?

you actually have to have an upholstery shop (or someone) convert the passenger/bench-type seat, so the console will fit in between the two

You unstitch the center joint and unbolt the center seat from the passenger. Replace the seat bracket with stock Ford parts and you're there. Logan did his own sewing.

here's the article from f-150 world...it's for a super crew that already has bucket seats, will apply once you mod your seats...

ps...you have to register to get to the article

Logan,
I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd send me those pertinent details as well. I really like the full-console look.
thanks

Here are the 3 parts from Ford you need:
F65Z-1561709-CAJ (support assembly)
YL3Z-1563100-BB (Spring assembly)
YL3Z-15603A86-BAA (Handle assembly)
Cost is about $225 for the above.
You also need to locate a 99-01 Grey Console, commonly known as the wide console. Best place is through salvage yards. Price should be about $125-$150.
The brackets for the console bolt into existing holes in the floor (Expy's and f-150's use the same stamped floor)
You need to cut out sections of your carpet for the brackets.
For the seat, you simply remove the center seat fabric, and attach the end piece nearest the driver side to the side of the passenger bucket material with needle and thread. Took me about 2 hours to do it right.

OK, a calculated interpretation here .....
Terry hasn't gotten any of Logan's money for mods yet .....
Logan is ****ed because he sold the mod to Brian .......
Brian is sitting there going .... .... nananana naner
Just my visions (so to speak) .......... :d
But, whatever .......... or something like that :hammer:
OH jeez, dis regard that, let these MoFo's hack it out .....:o

Actually, If Brian hadn't of taken it, it'd of gone with the truck anyway, as I wasn't about to spend $500 to get all the pieces to put it back stock...
I'll probably re-do the console mod in the near future, just cause I hate the bench so much...
As for Terry, he needn't worry, he'll get my money eventually, I'm too lazy to deal with anyone else anyway.
