The wheely standing 1/8 mile PT cruiser was a sight to behold. It was the first time out for the car so he still has to perfect it.

The motor (big loping blown V8) was in the rear and I think its sole purpose is to wheelstand the entire length:nana2

Thanks. Im happy with those times. Better than my 9.1 when i was stock.

My second run was 8.5 but i was laughing at a t/a that totaly screwed up while staging. Flew past the tree and sat there. The crowd was waving at him to back up. He sat there and looked at me like i was in the wrong. He then backed up a little bit.

The temperature started dropping a little after 8 o'clock and my truck picked up another .5mph. I was hoping to creep into the high 7's tonight. Oh well...

I think my 60' is a little off, because I lauched hard with no spin on my slicks and only hit the 1.9 and was pretty consistant with that in all of my runs. I'm wondering if the headers and exhaust are taking away that bottom end for the 60' or if my transmission is just showing it's age after 40K. Any thoughts?

I'll make the next one. By the way...there is an event out at Denton next Saturday...Ford versus Chevy shoot out. Maybe we can head out to that and increase the odds of a Lightning winning it.


It is a heads up race....pro tree.....broke up into classes to keep a 6 second car from having to run a 8 second car.

Hey guys, i was up there too... but I didnt see anyone I recognized (mike) but I did hang with Jason a little....

So tell me what yall think... This was my FIRST TIME EVER to race anything at a track... i was way nervous... my first run Im embarassed of... i staged too far and when I tried to back up the light turned green and instead of just waiting and then going... i freaked out and hurry and went... ran like a 10.??

then my second run was my best run, i feel it could have been better, but hey this was really my first ever real run...

then I ran one more time, and I didnt wanna burn out and just eat my tires anymore, so I guess they were too wet and I just sat there and spun... so I screwed up.... guess this stuff just takes practice... the overall on this run sucked but my R/T was killer.. hey even with spinning for a while, i still smoked that grey Dakota RT :banana:

well, even though my times werent that impressive, i had a blast.... i can easily see how people can get addicted to this... i wanted to just keep going and going... i cant wait to go again... i really think if everything went perfect I could be a VERY low 8... but that just takes alot of practice I guess...

the only thing holding me back is these damn F1s are so expensive to just burn away....

I never saw you guys... like I said, Jason was the only one I ever saw... but I was in line the entire time, i never got out of line.... I did talk to a few guys... one dude in a brand new stock white L, another guy in a 03 Sonic Blue and another guy in a red one... not sure if that was any of you guys... but I never saw you Mike

You need to take heed to what these guys have said about the flowmasters.............. ThEy DoNt WoRk On OuR S**t!!.... I took Rob's & Ron's advice and dropped my flow cat-back in favor of 2 mufflers. From what I gathered, ANY 2 mufflers were better than the "slowmaster". I went with the Borla pro xs mufflers and had Terry get me a magnaflow x-pipe. At first my truck sounded sick a WOT but now its a clearer deeper tone to it. Its gotta be some truth to what these guys are saying. At ran an 8.35@84mph, bald tires, and the timing backed off 2 degrees, and thats with a 1.91 60' ft. time . I'm not gonna give the exhaust the whole credit but I can say (and prove) its pulling a whole lot better than it was. Its got alot more torque down low and thats when you need it most. :tu:
