I've been thinking about the "clunk" thing a while back on 99/00/+ Ls and thought I would go "rooting around" under the '02 with the MagLight/camera...

Notice the 2nd .jpeg and the "scuff-marks". Now, keep in mind this it the driver's side aft-view of the A-Arm (correct part  ) Also, both front F1s are feathering pretty-good on the inside 1/4" of the tread.:eek2:

The funny thing is.. there's NO evidence of any kind of bolt travel in any of the other suspension bolt holes. Also, she tracks down the road in Frisco the same at "higher-speeds" with no problems/issues at the wheel.

I've been under the front-suspension looking for evidence for front-end "clunk" and been researching other boards with no real definitive solutions.

Any ideas?

I'm almost positive I didn't get the extra "03" head/plug threads, too. :flaming: :crying:

November/xx/02 was the cut-off engine-head date. :flaming:

I ask b/c, I'm looking at 17K miles and bought it 2/28/03. Roadtrips!

Bankston quotes me $2K+ for a 6yr./100K warranty.
