Door speaker size

Will a 6.5 speakers:cool: fit in a gen2 door? I have a pair of Boston Pro's components that I would like to stuff in there. I'll cut the panel if needed. Ivanhoes' red brother will be a tad bit louder very soon. I will have to remove the built in tackle box behind the seat to fit my 4 channel 1500W Fosgate amp and 2 10" Kickers.

I don't know I can ask a stereo buddy. I am running Boston componenets I think a RC 820's? They are drop in 5x7 woofers. I love them, clarity to the top. Click on Pick.

i got 6.5 Focals in my door, but be aware... you will have to cut your door, they BARLEY fit!!!

Cut the door or the panel? Were you able to conseal the 6.5 behind the door panel?

You don't have to cut the door. I put 6.5" MB Quart components in the door. Get 1/2" MDF wood and trace an outline of the 5x7 factory speaker. Then lay down the 6.5" speaker down and trace the outline of that on top of the 5/7" that you already traced. Cut the hole for the 6.5" and the outer ring and you have yourself a nice mounting bracket. And you don't have to cut any of the door. Worked great for me.

I mamory serves me... Pull the switch panel out and unplug it, there is a phillips screw in there, then two more screws on the bottom of the door. Then pull it up about 2" then out slightly. Remove the lamp from the door and there is it.
