This would be a group buy kinda thing. I'm looking for people who are needing or wanting to buy some flagstone. I'm working with a rock quarry out of state rather than buying from the local rock yards. Locally the price ranges from 155.00 to 185.00 per ton and $150-$175 for delivery. The rock quarry charges $80.00 per ton. This will be for the brown shades of 2"-2.5" flagstone. Delivery ranges from $525.00 - $550.00 for up to 24 tons. The more people I can get in on this the less our portion will be for delivery.

ps. about 5 tons will be for myself and about 5 for a coworker.

I know this is kinda strange to post this on this message board but thought I'd give it a try. If you know anyone who is interested or in the landscape business who might be interested, please post up or pm me.

I'm not out to make any money on this deal. I only want to buy from the source to save me(and you) money on the rock and delivery.

1 ton = 75-85 sq. feet. Also, it will be delivered at my house. Participants will need to arrange pick up, which If I can work it out right, I can get a fork lift to use and I will help load.

Yeah it is, get it while it's cheap. I'm gonna try and find 5, maybe 6 people who's interested so that the delivery charges are even less for everyone. If you know anyone who's been thinking of doing a patio or walkway with flagstone send them this way and I'll be happy to talk with them. I'll post more details as I get them. thanks Steve.

Steve, I'm gonna count you in on the shipping. Just let me know if you want 1 or 2 tons. I gotta call to get more details in the morning.

Hey Steve. Looks like I won't be able to make this work. I had enough people interested but came across a problem with a forklift. I thought the truck would come with one but it doesn't. I'd have to rent one to unload the truck and that would cost me another 250.00 bucks. Later.

Thats fine at least you tried:cool: I wasn't in an immediate need but for that price it was worth having on hand. I'm planning one of those back yard fish ponds one of these days

I might be interested in a few tons. Is the picture of the only color I can get, just wondering what's available? About how much surface area is in a ton?

Jason, read my previous post. Unfortunately, this is a no go due to no forklift to unload.
