So Dennis who going to go to the winners circle? I'm hoping Mark Martin or Jeff Burton or one of the other Roush "younguns" I guess my sentimental favorite has to be Rusty Wallace even if he's not in a Ford anymore. As long as JUNIOR or MIKEY or any other DEI or RCR car DON'T win. (I know I just made a few enemies saying that) :rll:

Yeah, since Rusty jumped ship I really don't care who wins as long as they're driving a Ford.

I want to see mark martin do it! been a fan since the Stroh days, when he joined up with Roush. If not him, hopefully one of the other Ford's. Anyone rooting against teh DEI ir RCR boys shouldn't catch any crap from a group of Ford guys!

Jarrett, Sadler, or Harvick. I'd love to see the Viagra car win. It would be cool if Martin could hang in there all day and blow his engine as he crossed the finish line.

Jarrett is due. Each time he's won the bud shoot out he has won the big race- 2000 and 1996- also he has the 4 year thing working for him

Elliot Sadler in Victory Lane would really be cool.... I'll be :) happy with any Roush/Yates Ford win, even a DEI win is acceptable, just no Gordons (either one of 'em)...

Good Luck to all the teams...

Well, looks like the Viagra works tooooo good. Blew up in less than 5 minutes of racing. :hammer:

The Big One just happened..although I pull for the Ford cars and against the DEI & RCR cars, I surely don't want any of the drivers hurt. I hope Mikey is OK :tu:

I don't know, there are a lot of sentimental feelings for DE,Sr and that has passed on to Jr. Plus on the streets see how many Fords got the # 3 & # 8 stickers in the back window

OK,its not Daytona but it is our hometown track so why haven't some of you motor heads re-hashed this thread for the TMS race tomorrow? Where are you Dennis? Any way this is a good week in NASCAR...races in our backyard, and Jr got deducted points for CHEATING????.. :rll:
Still want the DEI & RCR cars to have DNF's.

Shouldnt you have moved up to a better, higher class of motorsports? You should be up now watching Formula One on Speed TV. The real king of drivers is on and nearing the end of his career. :( Michael Schumacher. He wins almost 1/3rd of every race he starts. knana Think if that happened in nascar. Hmmm, maybe thats why his base salary is $100 million per year. And he just renewed and didnt ask for a raise. What a great guy eh? :tu:
You have to love cars that race around and hit 19,000 rpm on the upshifts and straighaways. This all done without a supercharger or turbocharger. For those of you with a little bit of math, how many times does the spark plug get lit per minute? it almose boggles the mind. :eek2:

The big problem I have with F-1 is the competitiveness of the cars. If you aren't driving a Ferrari, Williams, or Mclaren, you don't have a chance of winning unless the top six cars DNF. I was watching qualifying this week and the cars at the back of the field were 5+ seconds/lap off the pace. :o

As far as TMS goes, I was at qualifying on Friday afternoon and the Dodges look really strong. However, Labonte's qualifying laps were awesome and no one has ever won a TMS race from the front row until..............today. So I'm going with Labonte and Biffle. I think Roush will have more motor problems today.

Well Ferrari won the first two spots, but Williams and McLaren were no where to be found.. the Renaults did good.. its all cyclical, but to watch Schumie is to watch the best there has ever been. Even on the anniversary of Senna's death. With the new one engine rule, you still have to finish to win. And Ferrari is still doing it the best. The performance of those F1 cars is so amazing. There is a company in Canada where you can take hot laps in an F1 car, at the paltry sum of $8000 per day :eek2:
I do like the open wheel part, so that it isnt just a bumper car race too.

No way for me with F1, I don't like that series. I do like the IRL & INDY cars but not as much as NASCAR.Each to his own. I grew up watching NASCAR in Alabama in the early 70's to now when Richard Petty (my man at the time), and the Alabama Gang use to match up. Of course that was before the big NASCAR explosion after the movie Days Of Thunder in 1990. So for me its NHRA, NASCAR,INDY & IRL and a little Superbikes.

I still like a little NASCAR, some F1, Superbikes, and MX.

Hey Derrick, I have quite a few NASCAR collectibles myself, and am going to be getting rid of them soon, if you're interested.

PM me with what you got, I really only have a few of the Roush cars right now to include the #60 Mark Martin Winn Dixie from 1999 and the Valvoline before sponsors changed to Viagra. My non- Nascar die casts consist of a variety of Fords. :)
