1st Oil Change?

My truck is due for it's first oil change since I have owned it. Don't know what the dealer put in in but will have it changed out and need to know what brand and what weight to put in and how many qt's.

most here use mobile1 5w-30 and a motorcraft filter, atleast i do. All which can be purchased at pepboys and autzone :tu:

The first oil change I did was to regular 5W30 motor oil, and the next one I switched to Mobil 1 5W30. Now I only use Mobil 1 and a Mobil 1 oil filter.

The engine takes 6 quarts.

I did a regular OEM Oil and Filter the first time as well.
Haven't gotten to my 2nd yet. :rll:

You can buy the OEM at Wal Mart for 1.77qt and the Motorcraft filter FL820-S for 2.85 abouts. I run conventional for 5-6K miles. It is an affordable synthetic blend and probalbly protects really well.
