Finally got in the 400/500 club on Saturday. Went to Speedworks and pulled a 412/507. Feels good to be making that kind of power. knana
Now the question is... Apten or torque converter?

Trai,
Of course both but which one first? I am thinking the converter is up next.
Gaven,
You will actually loose a little power when you add a converter. There is more to this hobby than dyno numbers. Elevens for example. ;)
personally I would go with the apten first cause it won't be limited to the track. You'll see gain anywhere you drive...
Also, the apten will pull harder the entire length of the track :) More boost + better RPM band hp/tq curves....

Good job, Crawford!
I'm no mechanic/engineer, but I would think you would want the blower to "breathe" better throughout the power-band versus a TQ conv.
Possibly more bang-for-the-$.
Just my $.02,

id be almost positive that the apten is more bang for your buck than a TC. id rather have a fast truck than a dyno queen as well. id figure since over about 50 the TC is in lockup and most dyno pulls are over 70 then you wouldnt loose anything.
