I was waiting for David to get to his storage building Monday night. It is in North carrolton. I got there early and chose to wait in the quarter car wash parking lot next to the storage. It was well light and empty so cool. I noticed a carrolton squad car drive around me twice. I knew he was going to light me up. So he put pulled behind me and aimed the spotlight on the car. I stepped out and said "Is this a bad hood"? He said yes it is we get a lot of stolen and stripped cars around here. He asked for my license and what I was doing there. I said I was waiting for a friend and thought the well light empty parking lot was my best place to be. He said I should pick a gas station a few blocks away or such, WTF:confused: I don't feel safe in gas station parking lots. I told him I like this parking lot. So he was polite and left. I never would have thought a whitey in a new corvette would be considered suspicious:rolleyes: .
Some cops around here are anal.....

The worst "run-in" I had with the law was back at OU in '97.
Some friends and I decided to take my new MAK-90 (an AK-47 that isn't full-auto), my new Colt Ultimate Bright S.S. Gov. Model .45 and a friends new Glock 21 (.45 ACP) pistol.
We're down there for part of the afternoon and we're 4-wheeling out of there and safely/responsibly shooting, etc. at sand banks on the Canadian River. As we go to leave, we see this Norman PD cop approaching my gf (at the time) and two of her friends in my 4x4 with his Glock/Mag-Light screaming "Get out of the truck!" and doing like-wise with us in the Bronco behind them !
We all pile out (hands-in-the-air style) and the rest of the "Cavalry" shows up. We explain we cleared it up with McClain/Cleveland county depts. before-hand and this is JUST a big misunderstanding.
In one of the officer's "haste", I watched him take the magazines out of my .45, and "slam" the pistol down on the magazines...scratching the slide finish a little. I wasn't about to go-off on him as I'm pretty @nal about my stuff. :nono: I chose to "shuddafuggup", play along and get outta there.
They let us go with just a verbal, but you haven't "lived" until you've seen a p#ssed off rookie L.E.O. with a loaded Glock pointed your direction.
I think out of all this, my biggest error was teaching Laney how to operate the L, MAK-90 and the .45! :D
Quite a "party"...

He did have on valid point of observation. I had the Z06 badges on the FRC and the stock wagon wheels on it. So he asked where the Z06 wheels were and that it looked suspicious a Z06 on beater rims. I had to put the Jedi mind meld on him so he would leave quietly:D .

:rll: Just think Terry, most of the time it pays to be whitey. If you where me, things prolley would've went a different way. I've been in Duncanville jail so many times, the last time I almost filed a law suit. I remember when I was about 22 or 23, my mustang stopped on me almost at the corner (Main & Camp Wisdom). My alternator was bad so it had drained the battery. I lived in the apts. right behind Camp Wisdom so I had not gone very far before it quit on me. It was fri. nite, 12 midnite, on my way to Carter to go burn some rubber but here I am stuck. I saw a white guy drive by twice in about an 86 buick century of all cars. As I was waving him in, I didn't know he was about to stop anyway. :hammer: He turned out to be an undercover  D'ville cop. When he pulled up I said " man I'm glad you stopped, can you give me a jump??" "Yeah, as soon as I figure out who you are." WTF  Then he jumps out of his ol' beat up ass car and tells me to sit on the curb. :flaming: Now I'm pissed. "What is all of this abo--------SHUT UP!!!!!" :flaming: To make a long story short,he called his boys and I went to jail that nite for a ticket. And get this, I had cash to pay it when I got to jail so he wouldn't have to book me in but they did anyway. I can't prove if black or white played a role in what happened but I do feel like it did based on how it played out.

I know what you mean Trei, they just trying to keep a brother down:hammer: . There is a black man that has been picketing the Duncanville ISD building all week holding up signs. I can't read most of them but they say something about civil rights, and MLK.
