Just got back from the Dallas Auto Show where I saw the new Dodge SRT/10. I dont care what anyone els thinks IMO that thing is butt ugly. and with a price tag of 50+K you have got to be kidding me :vomit:

BTW Doug, my favorite was the Maybach Mercedes. The chick told me that particular one was a few dollars shy of $400k :eek2: I started to go ahead and get it but I left my checkbook in the truck. :hammer: :D

I am happy Dodge made that thing. This might be the kick in the ass Ford needed to push the envelope a little further. You know the gen III's will not be cheap, but im sure they will be primo machines. Time will tell. Nice Babes!

I love my lightning to DEATH!!! But That SRT10 is BAD ASS!!!!
I would love to get a ride in that thing, I know No ONE here would say you dont wanna drive a V10 :bows

I'm not hating on the thing too much, because it is cool. I have taken one for a test drive and I'll be honest, it is not as much fun to drive as the Lightning. It has a lot of cool features, but I wouldn't trade the Lightning in on one.

It is kind of growing on me as far as looks. I wouldn't mind having a 6spd either if I cared more about twisties than drag racing. I don't like the price tag. It does make some nice hp all stock though.

I went to the Dodge dealer here in Austin to get a dyno base run before some changes I'm making and they had a black one there that dyno'd 440hp/460ft-lbs all stock so not too bad numbers. When mine was stock it dyno'd 345hp/410ft-lbs. for comparison.

Somebody had one out at Denton a couple of weeks ago. I must say I wasn't terribly impressed. I know Ken was dying to run it, but I don't think it was quicker than a stock gen II Lightning. It also sounds like a ricer.

Kicked us out of the Top End spot... Not the 1/4 mile... :nono:

Fastest 1/4 run from an owner is still 13.5. I ran a 13.1 stock. When an owner runs better than 13.1, THEN I'll be jealous :tu:

I'm not interested in driving the thing at all after Tom's exclusive insider report (go Tom!!). Lets face it, its a flop, and the Dodge boys are having abit of trouble selling them. Like I said, its one running around here in D'ville and every time I see him he looks like he's in a hurry to put it up before some L' roles up on the side of him. :(

Thats reall disapointing about the exhaust sound.... V10's are generally a bit more high pitched but with the right tuning you can get a cool deep Growllllll....

Damn Id love to have one for a weekend!!! My Lightning will do me just fine, compliments never stop when Im rolln in my supercharged L!!! Just yesturday a full blown chevy guy gave my L much praise & couldnt stop drooln... hahaha

Oh yeah, On Sunday on Garland road, before you get to georg Bush, an electric blue Vette was shown off, him and a buddy ( younger dudes).... anyways it was just a regular ol vett' non-z06, so I unleashed the supercharger on his ASS!!!!
HAHAHAH That felt good:-)
