As for birthdays, here's my $.02: My Grand-Dad Ralph Brown, born in 1918, is still working Hereford cattle on their 3 80-100 acre acreages with Grand-Mother, Ivarene, back in OK.

They lived through the Depression Days, moved to Cali./N.M. to find work with 4 kids - one of which was my dad, Roger. They moved back to OK in '52.

Not to be long-winded: Grand-Dad always seems to start out his stories with "If you ever make it to my age..." Grand-Dad's 86 and can debate current events pretty good with us grand-kids! He matches wits with Laney when we visit and still tends to 20-30 head of Herefords.

Basically, there's nothing in writing you're going to see tomorrow or another B-Day, so be glad you're enjoying another B-Day as I'm looking forward to soon ...

That's my take from someone's who's been down WAY more paths than we have...

One of these years I am going to really celebrate one. The last dozen have just been another day. The twinkle of hope the next year will be better is what keeps me going. You gotta respect someone like Gramps who marched through the depression and still going strong.

I havent had a good b-day for years as well, up until last august. My g/f filled my room with balloons, got me a huge cookie cake,etc. I wasnt expecting her to be at my house when i got home after a realy bad day at work. It made the rest of the day 100% better. :D

But this august i turn 21 and who knows what im doing. But who wants to be the first to buy me a legal beer. :beer:

Nobody died, I got a lot of work done. That was good enough for me. Thanks to those who called and stopped by. Next time bring the Crown! Steve I got your seals done I have to weld the exhaust back together. So it should be ready by lunch:tu:
