I have to wait to confirm until I know what kind of honeydos I have waiting for me. Might be a full weekend for me at home. I'll let you guys know if I'll be able to come out because I need to try out the Apten with the 4# pulley plus the new tranny.

Excuse me if I am out of line here but for all the members we have here it is hard to figure out how it is that only 5 have committed to show up for this deal :( Do some of you need to be reminded that these are high performance vehicles and are meant to be raced? This is a TALON group event and it sure would be nice to see more particapation....you will like it you will see :tu:

Hey Fred,

Howard may have to work on Sunday....he is our "on call" guy next weekend. If it is not too hot out, he may be able to go. We don't get many service calls on cool Sundays.

Thanks again for helping us out Fred.....that is a pretty sweet truck you have there.

For starters, there's two qualifying rounds. From that point its up to YOU to tell them what time you would like to dial-in. An example would be IF you dialed in a 13.00 and you where to run a 12.99, then you would lose the race. The object is still to get there first, its just based around the time you alot yourself. Reaction time is by far the most important aspect of bracket racing. The next important thing is setting your dial-in as accurate as possible. Case in point, when I ran @Kennedale in the quick street class, rounds one and two I posted nearly perfect reaction times. If you are racing a slower car, that puts the heat on them because you are running them down. If they didn't cut a good light, they just gave up some of the head start that is the dial-in. Both rounds they got there first but they broke out. I good idea would be to "shallow stage" in the qualifying rounds. This would probably give you the best ET for the day.

You guys may want to check your timing at WOT for yourselves. While at the dyno, hook up some kind of data logger to your truck and see what it really is. The tuners can only do so much from afar. Just because they set it for a theoretical timing of "whatever", doesn't mean that is what everyone gets. That is why so many of us tell people to get to a dyno and check all this when you get a new tune. You can get the numbers...call your tuner...and he can decide if he wants to leave it...or have you ship it back for some tweeking.

That is cool of you to offer Trai. Now I am inspired. I will bring mine to the track also and allow anyone that wants to plug it in and run down the track so they can check theirs also. Maybe we can impose on Trai to make sure we do it right as I am not totally familiar with the predator data logging features yet.

WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yehaw!!!!!!!! It will be fun..... .

By the wa Tom....when you get to Keith Craft....go back with them and look at the label on the drum. They acted a little hesitant on the phone when I cornered them about what the label actually said. It may be nothing....but be safe and look. The fuel is a yellow(gold) color if it is actually TT105....don't let them B.S. about the color either.....it doesn't change for that brand.

I tried to split the race fuel discussion from the TMCCC discussion. Hopefully I didn't just screw up two good threads. Anyway I tried.

I'm planning on heading out from the house between 7 and 7:30. I've got all of my stuff loaded. Need me to bring anything, or are we covered?

Tim, I'm heading straight down 75...where are you going to be and at what time and I'll see if I can meet up with you. Chances are I probably won't be at Ennis be 8am if I leave the house after 7, tho.

Ahhhh! I had a feeling it was around the Knox/Henderson exit. Now I got it. See you in about an hour.

Time for some fun....I'm still holding onto the dream that a Dodge truck club will show so we can beat up on their "Slow Racing Truck-10". Keeping my fingers crossed.

OK, due to rain the Ennis TMCCC event got called. There are still 4 of us in the competiton:

Howard (don't if you have a screen name on here) - 16.00+ class
Dennis (sixpipes) - 15.00-15.99 class
Tom (tliss) - 13.00-13.99 class
Bobby (bobbywade) - 12.00-12.99 class

I think Dennis, Bobby and Howard are down to the final 4 (semis) and I am at the final 8 or so.

Hey Sayle what exhaust are you running? I think I am losing some back pressure with that new wild set upSayle has Robs old system. Long tubes, hi flows, Bassani. The wild may flow a little more than the Mild but not by much. As long as you have the stock manifolds and cats the mufflers don't change much.

The most likely difference is the weather...

My truck when I was stock was running anywhere from 13.1 - 13.7.... same track, stock all the way, but different weather....

What I don't understand is..... Alot of us have the same mods, but some are running 12.7 and others up to 13.3...

I can take a shot at that one. Some of it may very well be in the tune. Some of it can be in some very small differences in the way each person launches and takes it down the track. Some of it is also in the traction system each chooses to use and air pressure in the tires will make a difference.
