No dash lights

I did a #5 to #12 splice so that the fogs would come on with the parks. Well, that worked out just fine:D But, now i have no dash,radio,a/c-heater lights:bs WTF! Can anybody help out?

This may be a dumb question but did you check the dash light dimmer?

when my dash lights went away, they had to replace the whole Instrument panel. But I wasn't messing with it they just went out.

Yeper, even the ones under the hood. One thing i noticed when i was messing with the switch wires is that the dome & door lights setting & resetting by simply touching a wire on the dimer side from the switch side. Im going to get back into it and see if that will reset the dash lights. What the hell, right!;)

There should be a blown 5 or 10 amp fuse in the inside panel.

Ya, thats what i was thinking also, but i checked them and theyre all good. but check this. I took two short wires spliced one side together pluged it in to #5 and one into #12 and one into the light blue plug on the dimer side and what ya know i have dash lights. Everything is good and works like it should no blown fuses:cool:
