Tom,
Good job! Show those SRT-10s a thing-or-three ! knana I was there in spirit, today. Good talking to you on the cell, earlier.

I spent part of my afternoon using up a good chunk of my left-over Z#ino plunder on the L. Damn she smells/looks good!

He ran a 13.855 @ 94.29 (13.855@94.29) on a 13.99 dial. I ran a 13.315 @ 103.06 (13.315@103.06) on a 13.29 dial. I was just looking at the slip and if it would have been heads up, I beat him off the line and to every milestone down the track. It would have been 5-10 lengths easy.

Now that is an arse kicking:bows .

Somehow it is perfect that you where the chosen one......the first TALON member to test drive the SRT-10 and now the first TALON member to hand one his arse in a formal event......yes, fate does have a hand in everything:cool: .

It was interesting to see the times on the SRT-10s three runs. I think it was something like 14.65, 14.0X, and 13.85. So the guy was learning how to drive a little better each time. Having said that, his best time was still slower than Michael's true blue (stock) 02 on street tires. Give the Dodge guy credit for showing up. I know I would hate to have to launch that thing against a Lightning.

However.............did the outcome really surprise any of us? Way to go Tom. :D

Sweet....did he red light or were you giving him a head start off the line?

Bracket racing. He had a slower dial in, so he got the green light before me. In a perfect race where both of us hit our dial ins, we would cross the finish line at the same time.

TomExcept for in a heads-up race, Tom would have finished about six lengths in front (1 length for each 1/10 of a second). That's a pretty good a$$ whoopin in the 1/4. :D

I would be interested in seeing the slip on the Dodge if you get a chance, Tom.

Atta Boy Baby! Way to put the hurt on the Dodge! That's got to sting paying all that cash for something (SRT10) hyped up that won't deliver the goods. It's only going to get worse for the dodge boys unless they get dialed in better. Did you ask the Srt 10 guy how your tailgate looked ?

 SRT10 >:throw: < Masta :D

Ya know, looking at that time slip on the SRT-10, I'm shocked. The 60' time is barely over 1/10 difference and Tom pulled him badly through every phase of the race. Looks like the Dodge has got a long ways to go before it will be a match for a Gen II at the strip. Even if you put slicks on the thing (and it doesn't shell the transmission or rearend), it stands no chance in a heads up race with even a lightly modded Lightning IMHO.

Time Gaps

60'.......... 0.124
330'........ 0.230
660'........ 0.368
1000'...... 0.437
1320'...... 0.540

This was up to 103 mph. I wonder how far the "worlds fastest truck" would have to go before it stops losing time? :evil

I was taking note of that 60 myself.....heck...I play hell getting a 2.2 60' on street tires.

Your right about the lightly modded L. They are going to have to do some pretty pricey mods to get those into the mid 12's......maybe bottle feed them with a 100 shot, but at that point, it seems real silly that a 600 H.P. truck can only do mid 12's.
