I would be there with bells on but I need to fix the explsion problem I had at Ennis. I think it was my tranny on the top end but I will find out for sure on Saturday.
Good luck and practice makes perfect.:burnout:

How About Ennis Instead?
I wanted to go to Denton to get familar with the staging lanes, pit area, the tree, and directions on how to get there...
I won't go alone, because I don't want to leave my stuff in the pit unattended..
Are you wanting to run the 1/4 instead of the 1/8?

I'm going somewhere... hmmm... decisions decisions. I would like to run the 1/4. Is Ennis that much more crowded than Denton on Friday night?
Where ever I go, I probably can't be there till around 7.
Cool, so your gonna be able to run friday night?
I suppose I could go to ennis.... I imagine neither track will be packed until around 9pm.

This is actually a pretty smart idea. As said previously..."practice makes perfect".

I'm leaning towards Ennis. I prefer to run the 1/4. But I don't have a helmet, and I hear they are pretty strict about that. I should be getting a helmet this weekend.
They also loan helmets out..

well now I dont know, the weather man said the best posible place for showers tonight would be south of ft worth. I wanted a 1/4 mile track to see if I had indeed solved the problem with my truck. Plus I have been to Denton and it is a pit. I like ennis :nana2

They have cleaned up Denton in the past year or so - AND you will get a LOT more runs in at Denton than Ennis.
In a Lightning the Burnout, stage, and start is the WHOLE race

Even on a Friday night?
I guess I'm kinda anxious to get to the 1/4 mile. But I'll have my chance to do that tommorrow.
Band,
if you want to go to Denton, I'll go out there. That way you can practice and I can try to figure out how to launch this truck (shouldn't be too hard). Its much closer for me to go to Denton anyhow.

Sweet! Sounds like a plan!
You say you won't be able to arrive till 7pm?

No. Denton is closer than Ennis. I should be able to make it there around 6. If something happens that I can't, I'll give ya a call.
Anybody else wanna come?

Wish I could go, but gotta do the Dad thing. My oldest has a baseball game tonite, and they usually don't get done til around 9:30 or so. Maybe next time, as I haven't done a 1/4 yet, only the 1/8th.
Have fun. - Mike

We went last weekend. There was nobody there. The track, at times, was empty...it was basically roll up, burn out, stage and go...no waiting at all.
