Would putting in 4:10's vs. 3:73's be a bad thing or good thing? My L is my daily driver and I know we get bad gas milage allready but would this hurt even more after vavle body and a chip?

Tyson,
I 'm sure you will get several different answers but from "my" understanding a 1 gear change(ie..3:55 to 3:73,3:73 to 4:10,etc) is a more costly mod than its worth to see any real difference as you would a 2 gear change (3:55 to 4:10) Not sure if a VB & chip would show the gain you want. Sent Terry @ PR a message, I'm sure he could get you the answers you're seeking, and get the gears changed if you choose to do so.I'm sure you do know a 4:10 will get less gas mileage than 3:73 with the higher RPM. By the way I noticed you're not a Supporting Member. Now would be a great time to change that and join TALON to get the benefits of a Supporting Member.

Going to 410's in the L eats another 2mpg and tops out about 120mph. It will gain you a tenth on slicks if you are lucky.

I did that last fall. Better acceleration, no noticible milage difference in town, but did an interstate drive from Houston to Wimberley and back in January doing 70 on cruise and hit 20 MPG! 4 Pounder, chip in street mode, 93 octane
