Don't you have some kind of home owner's association. Surely, there is a rule against that. :rll:

Rick,
Where is Frisco headed ? I remember speaking with you at the Frisco Lowe's here a while back. Try to make some of our TALON meets. :tu:
Tom,
I wonder if that's the SAME red SRT-10 at our photo-shoot recently?

I went over and talked to the guy... He was a contractor tinting the windows on that house.
I guess I should start a window tinting business and then I could get rid of my SHO and get a second Lightning!!
The dude was pretty cool. His name is Mark and he traded his Z06 for it. Good reaqsons too... now he can take his kids with him and carry stuff.
He had a lid and bed rug much like mine.
He's never raced it but said he's looking for a cent. charger for it.

Why would you want to get rid of that SHO? Those are Lightning killers. :evil

I ran into a brand-new black S/C'ed Silverado SS at the Shell off of Preston/Spring Creek in Plano a good while back and he SAID he wanted to hook-up soon for some friendly "weekend driving" :D but he would never return my calls/emails.

Hey,
Down here in Stephenville, I was driving with my friend (i havent got my L yet :(), we were in his 77 camaro, which is badass, we were going down the lingleville highway and there on my right, a silver srt-10 pulls on us, now, him pulling on a L would be stupid enough, but him pulling on my friends 77 Camaro..Very Very Bad Idea...seeing as it runs a 11 flat :d
yeah, he tried to keep up, but all he saw was the ASS end of the Camaro  knana :nana2
Cant wait to get my truck :evil
Needless to say, he was pissed

This is my second SHO... 1st was 89 when they first came out and this one was the first year for the auto, 93. They are quick or were quick I should say. I had my wife, teenage son and huge cooler in the back once and came up on a Buick GN... both going about 65 at the time and I beat him three times from that speed. Heck I remember playing with Z28's and keeping up with them. Something about an 8,000 rpm redline that makes it scoot.
Got to get rid of it because it can't pass inspection here in the DFW area. Long story but I've had a check engine light ever since 50,000 miles. Dealer could never figure it out nor could a few independents I took it to. Dealer said don't worry about since it doesn't prevent you getting an inspection sticker... that was in 97 or so. Fast forward to today... and the world of inspection stickers has changed.
Car's worth maybe 2k or so and I am not putting anything into it to get it upto inspection standards.
Just got to find someone in Oklahoma that wants it!!:D

Man, I was trying to find a SHO a couple years ago for use as a daily driver but gave up because I couldn't find one I liked. Plus my crew chief told me about the Yamaha engines in those years.(expensive to work on) I then begin looking for a '96-979V-8) but gave that up also and just went with a Taraus/Sable as a daily. Would still consider one at right price and not too bad condition.

I thought the V-8 versions had Yamaha heads as well?
Have you seen the cam problems with the V8 at shoregistry.com?

I'm pretty sure they both had Yamaha heads... The 5 speed in the 89 was nice but so is the automatic in the 93... I was never really attracted to the V8 though.
If anyone is halfway serious about wanting it as it sits... I'll could be convinced to let it go.

Wait now...
Do i sense there's a bit more interest on the board nowadays for a vehicle other than an L? :rll: :rll:
Seems like the :throw: was sitting at the ready of the best marksman a while back if a subject other than driving a L was mentioned.
Man we've gone to the doggs!!!!!........ :rll:
j/k I think I mentioned in a thread last year that it would be nice to have a meet where we drove our other vehicles to share with the club. I think that was around the same time Wayne was first trying to sell his "Poor-she". Maybe one day that idea will become a reality.
