I finaly decided to get off my ass and get back in shape. Ive been riding my bike around for less than an hour all week. Tonight i rode all over town. Spent about 2 1/2 hours just riding around to where all the local dirt jumps i built used to be. But i probly sweated off a good 20lbs and the beer from last night.

Im riding a bmx bike, so its a one speed and hill are a biatch. Trying to relearn all my tricks and maybe start going stuff like the x games.

Good for you. Be careful though, I fractured vertebrae #8 showing off to my son jumping our mailbox on the mongoose I got him for xmas 2 years ago.

The ol' bones aren't as tough at 35 as they were at 25.

Mike, there was a chic that came to the shop in an Acura Integra. She told the guy writing the ticket someone sent her up there for alignment because NOONE else would touch it because it was lowered. When I looked at the ticket and saw the address, I thought that was your girlfriend but it wasn't. Nice jump BTW.

Gonna throw a leg over the ole mountain bike today and start getting in shape myself. At my age, all this windshield time and sitting in front of computer screens is starting to take it's toll.

Sixpipes...
If you ever want to sell that bike, you have a buyer. That is a nice bike! I used to race in college, and just like you said, all this computer time is not helping the body....I need a new bike!

That is a nice bike, Redline makes killer bikes. I had a redline bmx bike until it got stolen a good while back.

But the one main thing i like about riding again, is that its time to myself and I always think about ****.

My kids raced BMX for years and we regularly went to the ABA Grand Nationals in OKC over the Thanksgiving holidays. They raced mostly Free Agents and Redlines, but the coolest bike I ever built was a single-fork Kasten. I also raced in the cruiser class for a while. Built the Redline mountainbike from the frame up.

I did a little racing when i got my redline(12yrs old). But then the parents divorced and mom and i moved to florida. It was hard for her to get me to the track with her working all the time so i took up street riding and dirt jumping. knana . I might start racing again dunno.

You're to old. Hanging out with Steve and drinking beer is going to take a toll on your body.

me and my sone were racing BMX for a year or two. He has a Standard 125R, that I now need to get rid of. I rode 20" (K2) and cruiser (Yess). We haven't gone much since I had my mortorcycle accident, and he got a lot better at skateboarding. I do get out on the Mt bike, stiil and plan on hitting the Desoto BMX track soon, since I too am trying to get in shape.
The only thing about all this stuff, BMX, Mt bike, Dirt bikes, is that I seemed to start a little late. I don't think someone who starts when he is about to turn 43 has a big future ahead of him. But it's fun as hell!
